Wednesday, January 28, 2009. What We're All About. On Veterans Day the small flags were replaced by 3 foot by 5 foot American flags attached to 7 foot flag poles. The flags are flown on National Holidays. The flags are put in place a few days prior to and remain a few days after each holiday. As you might have guessed Mothers and Fathers Day are considered holidays at the flag memorial. Each flag last about 2 years. We will be starting our third set of flags soon. Village Views: FEBRUARY BEAUTY

http://villageviewsviakathy.blogspot.com/2010/02/february-beauty.html

Sunday, February 21, 2010. A few weeks ago we awoke to a beautiful hoarfrost covering everything. It's days like these that I'm glad to be in the upper midwest. The magnificence of the bright, sparkling snow can't be captured in a photo, but it helps to have a little reminder of nature's beauty. Although its a little difficult to see, a bright red cardinal landed in our birch tree outside our kitchen window, and again, I tried to capture the moment. The contrasting colors were impressive. And we love you!

Grandma is also allowed to make meals, change diapers, take her to nappy time, but it is Grandpa who absolutely, positively, has her endless adoration! Here she shows her skills in making sweet music with Grandpa while doing a complicated ballet routine! Ivy really "flips" over Grandpa's guitar playing. Our Little Lamb, Ivy.

Saturday, May 30, 2009. 2nd Post to Weekend with Adalia. After all the work of planting flowers while holding up to certain fashion senses it was time to relax and play at the playground - the sand was just the right texture to mold and squish between the toes.
