The Field of Gold. A small piece of land, set in the dramatic landscape of Central Otago, New Zealand. 29 March, 2012. Briar Rose. Flowers in November. Berries now. The Rosehip plants flowered in November. "Sweet Brier" is another import plant that finds the distinct climate of our area very suitable and now is spread across the region. That time of year it's a beautiful rose. All of the time it's a pest with sharp catching thorns, making it difficult to get past. Now it's March and the berries are out.

Casalba: Month by Month. Laquo; Air Conditioning. The acacia has beautiful and highly perfumed flowers. Rubber Slippers in Italy. With them and we have a good friend in Lombardia (Lombardy) who produces the most delicate organic acacia honey. I also saw this intriguing recipe for Liquore di Robinia. my Solitude garden | island threads

https://islandthreads.wordpress.com/my-garden

Living and trying to create a garden on a hebridean island. A walk in my garden. My Solitude garden is where I converse with nature every day and view her beauty on both sides of my fence,. To sit on rocks, to muse o’er flood and fell,. To slowly trace the forest’s shady scene,. Where things that own not man’s dominion dwell,. And mortal foot hath ne’er or rarely been;. To climb the trackless mountain all unseen,. With the wild flock that never needs a fold;. This is not solitude, ’tis but to hold. You a...

Field of Heather

Tuesday, May 10, 2011. April 30, 2011. After walking around for a while, we went back to the hostel to relax for a bit. I took advantage of the free Wi-Fi of course. One of Keenan’s roommates told us about Spring Fest that was going on near the hostel. So, we thought we would go check that out and see if we could find some dinner there. This looks so fun! We ha...
