Thursday, February 24, 2011. Arrival in New York. Mom says it is beautiful. The President has asked them to wait to go into the grove until he can take them in. Monday, February 14, 2011. We had a wonderful couple of days with them this weekend. On Saturday we had a family get-together with as many of the family as we could get here. We had a great time visiting and eating, and eating and having some desert, and eating. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Arrival in New York.

My Empty Nest: September 2008
http://theyleftthenest.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Chronicles of my journey into post parenthood. Wednesday, September 24, 2008. The first 10 years of my life. As with most good stories this one started long ago in a far-away place. This is my story of how my life unfolded like a road map that is somehow carefully folded to make only certain parts viewable at certain times. Then, at a magic moment the entire journey becomes exposed. For the 2 little girls and the brave mother there was so much adventure ahead. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Colledge Notes: March Madness
http://colledgenotes.blogspot.com/2011/03/march-madness.html
Monday, March 14, 2011. They had us ship some of their Nauvoo period clothing out to them last week. Its a good thing they kept them and a good thing we didn't bury them in a storage shed up in Star Valley. Fortunately, they were out in the garage in a storage bin. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Where in the world are they? Picture Window template. Powered by Blogger.

My Empty Nest: October 2008
http://theyleftthenest.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Chronicles of my journey into post parenthood. Wednesday, October 1, 2008. The Next 10 Years. It was 1957. Eisenhower was president. We all ate white bread, used real butter, ate red meat, drank whole milk, our cars were big and our houses were small and sturdy. We embraced the American lifestyle. In 1966 our Dad sold out his interest in the business and we moved back to Logan, Utah. I was too young not to go along. I tried to go to beauty school and dropped out 1 month shy of graduation.yes,...I'm a cas...

Colledge Notes: April 2011
http://colledgenotes.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 23, 2011. Week of April 17, 2011. Here are some photos Dad sent me this week. The caretaker has said that he believes the grove was sacred long before Joseph came there. He is not a member but believes the Book of Mormon to be true, and can feel the spirit that is there. He gives the missionaries tours of the grove, so Mom and Dad are going to try and go in with him coming up in May. Friday, April 8, 2011. Well, enough from me, here is Dad's email and another photo from the MTC. We hall h...

Colledge Notes: A big week, tragedy and blessings
http://colledgenotes.blogspot.com/2011/11/big-week-tragedy-and-blessings.html
Saturday, November 19, 2011. A big week, tragedy and blessings. Dad also got to meet a father and 12 year old son from Utah who had come out there because of a promise the father had made to the son about reading the book of Mormon. The boy had asked his dad if he could go to the sacred grove to pray. About the book when he finished it and his dad said yes. So they were out there to fulfill that promise.
