Young Adult and Children’s Literature. Laquo; Term Paper – Lucid Dreaming and Alice: the Self. December 6, 2008 by thebeanstalk. On Friday Group #1, which was my group, and group #2 gave our presentations. The second group that went was very entertaining. They did a great displacement of Dorothy into a strip comedy. I really enjoyed it and thought they did a wonderful job. It was very rich with allusion and connections. When I get it up I’ll post the link. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Follow “”.

Young Adult and Children’s Literature. November 26, 2008 by thebeanstalk. I really like Pullman’s idea of Dust…. Especially in connection with the idea of the Collective Unconscious. This can be seen throughout The Golden Compass. It is interesting how Pullman depicts the Church in the story as trying to work against the work of studying Dust. The reader is left to speculate if the Church knows what dust is, or just assumes that it is evil. FINAL idea for draft paper. November 23, 2008 by thebeanstalk.
