The Artist's Way

Friday, 31 July 2015. Taxes, vinegar, carpenter. These are the 3 words for a current Mach competition. I doubt that I will enter it.but they have piqued something. Mash newsletter gave us this exercise to play with words. Simply pick a word at random, and type the next thing that comes into your head that’s inspired by that word, and then the next, and then the next. You do need to suspend your conscious thoughts somewhat for this. I am going to adapt that and go with the flow of these 3 words. Taxes - bi...

The Artist's Way: April 2015

http://www.theartistsdate.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, 30 April 2015. A-z challenge Z: Zest for life. Well this is my final day of the A-Z challenge. I got organised in March, when I created the 26 titles ready for April . I even wrote these first few sentences. Did it remain an inspired action every day? Was it a chore. Did it create and maintain a zest for life or were there moments of drudgery.we'll see! It is still only March as I type this and it has been a zesty day. I finally booked a hotel for the last day of my long weekend. A-z challenge ...

The Artist's Way: 200 words that describe Light

http://www.theartistsdate.blogspot.com/2015/07/200-words-that-describe-light.html

Wednesday, 29 July 2015. 200 words that describe Light. Zannie by the sea. 29 July 2015 at 01:37. This picture takes up all the space, leaving no room to write. When I first saw the list I thought it would make an interesting writing prompt. I will set that as my target for tomorrow - at least 5 minutes writing on one of the words that shines brightly. 30 July 2015 at 19:13. Thats quite the list. 15 April 2016 at 03:48. Or, even worse, the dreaded overuse of a single word! It drives me mad!

The Artist's Way: October 2012

http://www.theartistsdate.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 30 October 2012. The first meeting of the new writing group will be this Friday morning. I met up with Emily, who is running it with me, and we went through a framework, which we will hold very lightly. November is National Novel Writing Month, auspicious timing, and I also noticed a pink piece of paper on the notice board telling us about a Poem for Perranporth competition, so I might use that to get the juices flowing next month. Zannie by the sea. Saturday, 20 October 2012. Write in the moment.
