Monday, August 17. The wind blows in a different direction. Pic Courtesy of flickr.com). Since moving in Utah, so many things has been overwhelming. but like my mentor said, take one day a time. This advice is very hard to follow! However, I have been working on my classroom for my 4th graders. I am so excited to meet them. I can grow out these limitations only if I overcome my fear. Grandma Pat: Snow
http://storiesfromgrandmapat.blogspot.com/2012/11/snow.html
Wednesday, November 21, 2012. One inch, two, three inches, four. More and more and more. Saturday brought clear blue skies, cold, and sun. The perfect day for sledding. Did we use a wooden sled? A sheet of plastic? Grandpa gave a big push and jumped in. Holding tightly to the edge of the pool, we slid twirling, slipping, screaming, smiling. Faster and faster until the wind pushed tears from our eyes. Other sledders raced out of our way. "Watch out! November 27, 2012 at 1:35 PM. December 2, 2012 at 4:20 PM.

Grandma Pat: June 2009
http://storiesfromgrandmapat.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2009. They belong to me. I laid these eggs, so nice and round and perfect. You can't have them." So Maurine or VaLoris or LaRue would have to push the chicken aside and grab the nice warm egg quickly before the mother hen could peck their hands. Besides tricking hens and collecting eggs, the three little girls had many other farm chores to do: picking beans, feeding pigs, and weeding gardens. Could you do all do that work in a dress? Wait, what was that? Grandma Pat. I buy you dre...

Grandma Pat: Farm Stories
http://storiesfromgrandmapat.blogspot.com/2010/05/farm-stories.html
Friday, May 14, 2010. Because you go to the farm every week in Virginia, I thought you would like to read some stories about my grandma's life growing up on the farm in Riverton, Utah. After listening to all the fun she had with her sisters and parents, I wanted to live on a farm too. I hope you like the stories. We used to ask Grandma Poulson if she had horses on her farm. "They were not for fun," she would reply. "Farm horses had to do work." Tehya, would you like that? More farm stories soon. Love,.

Grandma Pat: Grandma and the Rattlesnakes
http://storiesfromgrandmapat.blogspot.com/2010/08/grandma-and-rattlesnakes.html
Sunday, August 1, 2010. Grandma and the Rattlesnakes. Dear Tehya, Jacob, Jack, and Savannah,. What is the first thing you want to do when you get to the top of a mountain? Well besides doing a little victory shuffle? We laughed. Stopped. Looked around the rocks. Walked more carefully around the top, thinking now was not the time for a close encounter with a rattlesnake. A few minutes later another climber, a man from Sandy, joined us at the top. "Did you see the two rattlesnakes on the trail? Chad and Ma...

It's Miller Time: November 2008
http://katie-miller.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 9, 2008. So Greg and I watched a great movie this weekend, I absolutely loved it. It is a documentary about a singing group of old people, but instead of singing classical music they sing songs from the Ramone’s, Cold Play, Bruce Springsteen, and Sonic Youth just to name a few. These are some amazing people! I laughed and cried and got a warm feeling that made me feel like a kid again. The goodness and sincerity absolutely radiates from their hearts and out with their voices! Adam and Co...
