What is feedback and why is it important? January 29, 2015. When we are giving feedback, it’s always best to tell the student something they’ve done well. Positive feedback is great for motivating students to continue learning and wanting to achieve more. Sometimes it may be as simple as saying Good job! When a student gives us a correct answer. You can also use positive feedback as a way to segue from one part of the class to the next, e.g. Good job introducing yourselves! The Importance of Motivation.
