To Be Like a Child: August 2007
http://tobelikeachild.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
To Be Like a Child. Wednesday, August 01, 2007. This school year, I was invited to guide a prayer group again. It's been five years since I last did it. Today, at prayer session, while the group was in silent prayer, I too prayed, and I told God that I was feeling apprehensive, scared, unworthy. I felt like Jeremiah. "It's not your work, but Mine," He reassured me. Posted by rowie at 10:44 PM. Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 2.5 License. You can also find me here. Pray As You Go.

To Be Like a Child: Not many but much.
http://tobelikeachild.blogspot.com/2009/05/test.html
To Be Like a Child. Saturday, May 16, 2009. Not many but much. Father-General Nicolas, the superior-general of the Society of Jesus, was in the Philippines a few days ago and he celebrated Mass and gave a talk at school. I wasn't able to attend either event, but my colleague shared a summary of his talk. The theme of it was "Not many, but much" and the real meaning of Magis, depth and universality. And I hope that I might continue to be inspired by Ignatius' words today, as a mom, as a wife, as a teacher.

To Be Like a Child: December 2006
http://tobelikeachild.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
To Be Like a Child. Thursday, December 21, 2006. On the first Sunday of Advent, the choir at Church sang a song from my childhood that I really love (corny last two stanzas notwithstanding). It's by Martin Nystrom, based on the first lines of Psalm 42:. As the deer panteth for the water. So my soul longeth after Thee. You alone are my heart's desire. And I long to worship Thee. You alone are my strength, my shield,. To You alone may my spirit yield. You alone are my heart's desire,. Only You can satisfy.

To Be Like a Child. Saturday, July 14, 2007. I've been reading Seven Storey Mountain. A colleague found it in a second-hand bookstore priced at 35 bucks, and he bought it because he "knew that someone at work would want it." I was that lucky someone. Posted by rowie at 4:05 PM. To Be Like a Child. Sunday, March 23, 2008. Happy Easter, everyone! Just wanted to quickly share: Fr. Danny Huang ended his Holy Thursday homily by pointing out that Mark's version of the Last Supper account ends with Jesus and the apostles singing. It's the only time we read of Jesus singing, he points out. Posted by rowie at 9:23 AM. Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial 2.5 License. You can also find me here. The Seven Deadly Sins.
