A Mind for Mission: January 2015
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Friday, January 16, 2015. Show Me Your Hands. Lord, when I am weary with toiling,. And burdensome seem Your commands,. If my load should lead to complaining,. Lord, show me Your hands—. Your nail-pierced hands, Your cross-torn hands,. My Savior, show me Your hands. Christ, if ever my footsteps should falter,. And I be prepared for retreat,. If desert or thorn cause lamenting,. Lord, show me Your feet—. Your bleeding feet, Your nail-scarred feet,. My Jesus, show me Your feet. It is qui...

A Mind for Mission: March 2015
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Thursday, March 26, 2015. I'm just making a quick stop here to share a link to a website. I read this article this evening while searching for information for my upcoming Geography 8 class, and I thought it was a rather accurate description of Cambodia, complete with pictures and videos. I think you'll enjoy it. :). Note: The guy in the tuk-tuk with his feet up is actually being rather rude without realizing it - you're not supposed to point the soles of your feet at people. A Mind for Mission: March 2014
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Thursday, March 27, 2014. Catchup (of Facebook and Instagram). Two days ago marked seven months to the day that I arrived. I still remember that first day, those first months. a lot has happened and I've grown so much. God surely knew what He was doing when He put me here. A good friend once told me that if you find yourself busy in one place, you can expect to be busy wherever you go. There's no escaping it. I think that's pretty accurate! My crazy but absolutely lovable kids. Two sw...

A Mind for Mission: May 2013
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Friday, May 24, 2013. And I'm on my way. It's already been nearly three weeks since I left home and returned to Walla Walla. Home is here, too, but I left a part of my heart behind me. I'm loving the new experiences and spending so much time with my family, but I will never ever forget the family I have in Inchy. Leaving home is easier said than done! Forever family (Photo: Schane Johnson. Last weekend was the Pathfinder Fair - which was basically in my backyard. Very cool! My main go...

A Mind for Mission: June 2013
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Sunday, June 2, 2013. Friday I cleaned out my purse and switched to a different one for the summer. Sometimes it's nice to have a change and downsize a bit. I never had the biggest key collection ever, but I had a bunch. A couple to the front door, one to the back door (which didn't actually work), one to the church, one for my office (plus the blue plastic thingy to turn off the alarm there), one to my parents' old house. Are a security to me. They guarantee transportation, a roo...

A Mind for Mission: July 2014
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Friday, July 11, 2014. Sin in a Box. Here's a skit that some fellow volunteers did a couple of weeks ago at Sabbath-closing vespers. Quite thought-provoking - and it really spoke to some of the issues and questions our kids face. Monday, July 7, 2014. Month 1 of 11 in Cambodia:. Smoothies (specifically peanut butter/banana). Juice (from the refrigerator). Taco Bell (I seriously never thought I'd say that). Month 10 of 11 in Cambodia:. A cool dipper bath in the middle of a hot day.

A Mind for Mission: A New Beginning
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-new-beginning.html
A Mind for Mission. Thursday, March 5, 2015. Semester 2 is underway! We finished our midyear exams last week, and I think everyone is enjoying the fact that we are learning new things now instead of reviewing for and taking all of those end-of-semester tests and exams. I am, for sure. And now we're getting closer to the end of the school year! I find it hard to believe that we're this far along already. Grade 10 at flag raising on Monday morning. Photo: Vanessa. A Mind for Mission: September 2013
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Monday, September 30, 2013. A taste of Cambodia. Sarah and I watched this short film tonight. It's presented by a secular organization, but is a touching story just the same. And better yet, I was surprised at how clear a picture of Cambodian culture it gives. If you want to know the land and people I'm working with, take just a half hour and watch this. It's worth your time! Born Sweet - Entire Film. Thursday, September 26, 2013. Oh, this kid is interesting! He is from outside (not t...

A Mind for Mission: November 2014
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Friday, November 21, 2014. Of hard and easy days. With my WPY volunteer friends, on a short visit to the Philippines. As I was washing the dishes one day, I began thinking. Why is it that I'm always so much closer to God on the days when it's hard? Why don't I connect with Him as well during those times? How can I change those days so they're a benefit instead of a hindrance? That's what praise and thanksgiving are for. Photo credit: Erick Juanich. Thursday, November 13, 2014. You wou...

A Mind for Mission: August 2013
http://mindformission.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
A Mind for Mission. Saturday, August 31, 2013. I'm typing this on my iPod, and am not really sure how to format text on here, so excuse any discrepancies. From my journal my first night here in Cambodia:. Tuesday, 12:36 am. People talking (at midnight? Who knows). I love it. I'm home for the next year. :). God worked marvelously tonight. I got to take a shower at the pump tonight. With a couple of sarongs that Sarah let me borrow. :D First truly Cambodian experience! Good night from Siem Reap, Cambodia!
