Women whose names I wish to carve into my saddle. So that I might not forget their stories. Stories which I seek to weld inside of myself. She says she buried her daughter some years ago. She was 13 months old and died of a weak heart. I find myself surprised that a female could have such a thing. She speaks of the tiny casket which she could not afford.
