Lappvikens: First outing....
http://lappvikens.blogspot.com/2014/05/first-outing.html
My Finnish Lapphunds adventures * See my new website* link below. See my new website for lots of information. Saturday, 17 May 2014. Sadly my photo's don't do it justice. It was a perfect place for a fun experience, completely enclosed, with cows on one side and foot path on the other side. We are the only dog people who enter the garden so minimal risk for contamination. I now have VERY tired puppies! Here is Saga on her own adventure, apprehensive but soon gets over it. Now its Elsa's turn. I live with...

My Finnish Lapphunds adventures * See my new website* link below. See my new website for lots of information. Monday, 31 March 2014. Introducing Lina and Ice's Mothers Day litter. Seven again, like mum and gran, magic number for many and certainly works for me. Puppies and mum had a good first night, feeding and sleeping. Mum Lina was even brave enough to ask to go for a wee in the early hours, but she is frantic to get back in, she is super mum! Lina and Ice are the parents to the gang. Here they all ar...

Infindigo Finnish Lapphunds: August 2015
http://infindigo.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Making the world a better place one dog at a time. Sunday, 30 August 2015. We had no visitors this weekend for one reason and another. Considering the weather, it was perhaps just as well! However, Mark did pop by to drop off some stuff, so while he was here I took advantage of the opportunity to get a little video of the puppies having lunch. It took all of, what, 35 seconds? You get the feeling they like scrambled eggs? Links to this post. Friday, 28 August 2015. Busy, busy, busy. Links to this post.

Infindigo Finnish Lapphunds: escape
http://infindigo.blogspot.com/2015/08/escape.html
Making the world a better place one dog at a time. Sunday, 2 August 2015. With each litter, the thing we worry about most at this stage of the puppies' development is that they will escape from the whelping box. The wees on the carpet are not the end of the world, but we are super careful opening the door of their room each morning in case someone is on the floor on the other side. And I will never forget the time we found a sleeping 3-week-old Kiittaa. On the landing at the top of the stairs. Getting a ...

Infindigo Finnish Lapphunds: March 2015
http://infindigo.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Making the world a better place one dog at a time. Tuesday, 24 March 2015. That's the funny thing about March - some days you know it's spring and other days. well, other days you can't even remember a time it wasn't cold, wet and miserable. Even though it's only 30 minutes from where I live, and it is famous and quite the most touristy of all atmospheric Dartmoor villages, I had never been there before. Or perhaps those are the reasons I had never been there before. But isn't it beautiful! So rather tha...

Infindigo Finnish Lapphunds: June 2014
http://infindigo.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Making the world a better place one dog at a time. Friday, 13 June 2014. Happy birthday to the veterans. Well, well, well. A few months ago I had the shock of realising that my puppy dog Neka had somehow reached the age of 10 years. While I had my back turned. Even greater than that, though, is to find that today her (and my) first litter of puppies turn 7 years old and become officially veterans. It really doesn't feel like 7 years since I first read The Book of Bitch. Baby Taika with baby Jamie. One of...

Infindigo Finnish Lapphunds: April 2015
http://infindigo.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Making the world a better place one dog at a time. Friday, 24 April 2015. Show certificate of merit. Way back about 8 or 9 years ago Neka became the first Finnish Lapphund to win the Show Certificate of Merit, at a time when it was the only title available for Lappies to win. It's a Kennel Club award that dogs can achieve through success at open shows, collecting points for Best of Breed, Best Any Variety Not Separately Classified and Group wins. Infindigo Finnish Lapphunds: 4 weeks old
http://infindigo.blogspot.com/2015/08/4-weeks-old.html
Making the world a better place one dog at a time. Saturday, 8 August 2015. At 4 weeks the puppies have teeth, they are getting more mobile and starting to give some indication of what they will look like as adults. Whereas at 2 weeks they looked like guinea pigs, and at 3 weeks they looked like generic little dogs, at 4 weeks they looks like little Lapphunds. Even their tails have gone over their backs. All that's missing is the pricked ears. They are so lovely. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
