Feast Day of Fra Angelico. Today is the feast day of Blessed John of Fiesole. Better known to the world as the artist Fra Angelico, or Giovanni to his friends. This Dominican friar is the patron saint of artists. Michaelangelo said to paint such beauty, Fra Angelico must have been to heaven and allowed to paint whatever he saw; with the vision of horror below, one must also wonder if God blessed him with visions of Hell as well.
