Thoughts on life, parenting, news, and crazy shit. The One Who Changed Everything. 4 years ago, everything changed. After July 18 at 11:39 pm, everything I thought I knew about love tossed itself out the window. That doesn’t mean that love didn’t exist before, but it took on a new meaning. It changed forever. She does and says the most ridiculous things and I wouldn’t change anything about her for the world. She steals the heart of everyone she meets with her empathetic heart and sweet smile. Happy Birth...

A little place to vent. Published on July 14, 2015. Not quite 37 weeks. Amelie was so excited at the sight of it that she arranged an impromptu threesome for three of her teddies in her unborn brother’s cot. That old chestnut. But they’re too big for those frames so I’m planning to dust off my Illustrator skills and copy them myself. Or maybe I’ll guilt-trip Brendan into doing them, we’ll see how the hormones go. A little place to vent. Published on May 14, 2012. I’m buzzing. I want to give birth RIGHT NOW. Give me the chance Thumper, and my uterus will expel you like a bat out of hell. I am bouncing off the walls. I bombed up the hill this morning in record time and felt like doing it twice, but instead scurried around Tesco smiling at everyone. Is this the nesting thing? It’s definitely a surge of energy. But why is my kitchen such a mess then? This entry was posted in:. Designer, writer, mother, human. View sn...

Food and Health Journey. Monday, April 27, 2015. Five Weeks In - DHwRF. I'm five weeks in, as of this past Saturday. So far in that this diet. Is starting to feel like my normal life now, which is rather crazy. The awesome news is that I'm definitely feeling some healing. Hurrrrrrray! And strawberries. The reasons for my choices were this: 1) I knew from last time I did the diet. Autoimmune symptoms have been pretty good. If I let myself wake on my own in the morning, I sleep about 9 hours, which isn...

Food and Health Journey. Saturday, May 23, 2015. Nine Weeks In - DHwRF. Today marks the end of Week 9 on my elimination diet. I didn't do an update post for Week 8, so I will cover both weeks in this post. I did an elimination diet, the broccoli reintroduction resulted in a lot of abdominal pain. The next day I ate quite a bit more broccoli to see what would happen. I didn't feel anything that day, but when I woke up the next morning I had some discomfort and gas pains. So it seems that brocc...Kombucha ...
