This amazing song from the late, great jazz artist Nina Simone, does the trick for me. Even on days like today, when I'm not feeling 100 percent, something about this soulful and passionate song soothes my spirit. There have been several remakes of this song, Michael Buble also has a nice version. But Ms. Simone's soulful rendition is a timeless classic. It's a New Dawn.

I know, everybody says that about babies but she's a little doll. Mom and baby are doing well, and I'm receiving cute new pics all the time. They live out of state, so for now, I get to hear the baby's soft cry and Mama's tired voice over the phone. My joy moment today was feeling blessed to have an adorable new addition to the fam. Just a girl in the world. End of Day/Week Reports. Hole in the Head. August 13, 2015. I started the week with losing a piece of a filling. One minute, I’m eating an apple at my desk, and the next, there’s a little black thing in my hand and what feels like a giant hole in my tooth. So I called my regular dentist, and he was able to fit me in the next day. Fortunately, the hole in my head didn’t hurt, though visions of the million dollar crown that ensued.
