Nine things I learned by taking a year off. My first stop was Ubud, Bali where I spent the first week panicking that I didn’t have a life purpose or a way to make money. During this first month long stay I learned the importance and luxury of letting go. Aren’t you afraid you’ll have a gap on your resume and be unemployable? Is a brilliant read for anyone embarking on, or thinking about taking some timeout. If the work fits with your core values, or ensures you get plenty of downtime, then go for it.
