http://thejohnsonsjunglerecipes.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
The Jungle Food Chain. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. So I made this ultra yummy breakfast danish thing on the first day of school for my kids. It was easy, and could be done with a variety of fruits, if you aren't so hot on blueberries (but you should be.blueberries are VERY good for you.). My kids gobbled them up! I doubled.but you do what you need to do, okay? 1 pkg (8 oz.) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls. 4 oz (1/2 of an 8-oz. brick) cream cheese, softened. 1/2 cup blueberries, divided. I used red po...

The Johnson's Jungle: March 2011
http://thejohnsonsjungle.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 25, 2011. One of the reasons her project won was because of it's well-designed presentation. Savannah was very excited to win a First Place ribbon at her Science Fair this year. Her project was called Bubble-ology.and it determined whether or not adding different ingredients, like corn syrup or glycerin, improved the longevity of bubbles.or if the simple soap and water solution that we've all come to know and love is best. It was a very simple project, so I'm genuinely pleased that she won.

http://thejohnsonsjungle.blogspot.com/2011/10/nicolettes-7th-birthday.html
Sunday, October 2, 2011. There's so many things on my mind about this birthday. There's the very real idea that my baby.my youngest.is growing up. Now don't get me wrong.she's still young. And she still needs me. But not as much. And there is no one beneath her to need me. She's the.(gulp).last. When we'd share our theory with our parents, they's always say something like: "Yeah.but kids come back," or some such nonesense. Likewhen did THAT happen? I mean.I KNEW it was happening. I've been prepar...And n...

http://thejohnsonsjunglerecipes.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
The Jungle Food Chain. Saturday, November 14, 2009. Stuffed and Baked Acorn Squash. This recipe has been adapted from several others and made my own. I claim it. It is one of my favorite things to eat in the fall.I literally cannot get enough.and I want to share it with the masses because I am feeling uncharacteristically generous today. On a side note: This is NOT my hubbys. Favorite dish. He calls it "chick food". So that means more for me.and the kids. Note: This can be a side dish. 1/4 cup apple cider.

The Jungle Food Chain: Florentine Soup
http://thejohnsonsjunglerecipes.blogspot.com/2009/04/florentine-soup.html
The Jungle Food Chain. Friday, April 17, 2009. Now - I've shared another recipe. Style sauce. Now, not all dishes in Florence contain spinach and a cream sauce.and the connection isn't really clear. I found a cute explanation on. E closest explanation comes from an unverified story about the Italian wife of France's Henry II. Catherine de. Century. And once more, a steak cooked ala. Century when spinach began turning up in fancier dishes that mostly likely already had a cream sauce component.". 2 tsp pot...

The Johnson's Jungle: The Way Things Are
http://thejohnsonsjungle.blogspot.com/2011/08/way-things-are.html
Wednesday, August 17, 2011. The Way Things Are. Did you know my printer broke? I mean.flat out busted. And right when I was gearing up to do the most interesting weeks of summer school (in my opinion).two weeks of India, France, and Australia. I was so looking forward to these.and then.BOOM! Heytimes are tough.and ink is expensive. Likewise, to go and spend hours at a Kinkos sifting through my stuff and printing there didn't seem feasible either. And I was kinda sad. More time to be on the Wii! Anyway...

http://thejohnsonsjungle.blogspot.com/2011/10/what-i-did-for-halloween.html
Monday, October 31, 2011. What I did for Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I just love it. But this year caught me unawares and unguarded. I mean, here it is, October 31st.and I don't have a single decoration up. There are no Halloween cookies or pumpkin seed bark in the treat jars. I'm not hosting a pumpkin carving party. I am SERIOUSLY off my game. WellI'm adjusting to a new Girl Scout schedule and program and lots of extra training.which has sucked up a lot of my free time. When I was final...
