A Work in Progress: SteveLatsch.com

http://stevelatsch.com/index.html

A Work in Progress. Some of My Favorites. Welcome to my web development sandbox. Having primarily developed desktop software for most of my career, I am using this web site to learn, test and refine various web programming techniques. Consequently, this site will initially be lean on content and minimalistic in appearance. However, my intent is to evolve it rapidly into a central repository for my content on the Web. Please feel free to use any of the links on my Social page to connect with me.

A Work in Progress: Software Projects

http://stevelatsch.com/software.html

A Work in Progress. Some of My Favorites. Of course such flexibility always comes with a price and providing an easy way for users to identify OCR zones was and interesting challenge. The Profile Editor that I created to define document types and their OCR zones uses resizable components that users can drag over a sample page image to identify those areas. Microsoft's WPF. Technology allowed for a much more flexible and adaptable user interface than what we were used to with the older Winforms platform.

A Work in Progress: About Me

http://stevelatsch.com/about.html

A Work in Progress. Some of My Favorites. A little about Steve Latsch. By skimming my website, one might see some of my interests and wonder why I choose to pursue these and not others. After all, the typical person has more interests than time and how one chooses to spend their time is often more insightful than random facts and figures about that person's life. People who knew me as teenager most likely would not be surprised to learn that I have become a professional software developer. Some of my work.

A Work in Progress: Photography

http://stevelatsch.com/photography.html

A Work in Progress. Some of My Favorites. Photography is a recent hobby of mine that started on some of my trips as an attempt to capture the architecture and daily life of far away cities for family and friends. While these early photos are journalistic, I have tried to infuse a little more creativity into my more recent photos. The following are some of my favorites and my entire collection can be found at www.stevelatsch.photography. My blog posts about Budapest:. Blue Ice at Marblehead. Consistently ...

Travel blog and photography by Steve Latsch. Monday, July 28, 2014. Best Laid Plans: The Ill-Fated Canals of Ohio. It has been a while since my last blog post about traveling to Chicago. Travel blog and photography by Steve Latsch. Sunday, February 23, 2014. Chicago Travel: Trying to Avoid Getting Stuck in a Loop. The Christmas Tree at Macy's in Chicago. Millennium Park and Cloud Gate. Only a couple blocks east of the State Street Macy's store is the expansive Millennium Park. Travel blog and photography by Steve Latsch. Sunday, January 19, 2014. Hidden Vistas: Visiting Neglected Worlds Via Macro Photography. Snow hides the danger posed by a thorny shrub. Admittedly my photography has always been wide angle landscapes and cityscapes, whether it be Budapest at Night. Or local Toledo landmarks. All photography is a filter that allows the photographer to focus the attention of the viewer onto only what the photographer wishes them see. Journalistic photography attempts to sho...
