Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Piles of Paper: Part 1. A stack of graded 10th grade essays from the beginning of the year (I'm talking August 2010). Why do I still have these sitting on a table in my bedroom? I have no idea. I don't even remember why I brought them home. They've been graded. Why didn't I give them back to my students? I guess I thought I'd give them back at some point because I kept them for the entire school year. Well, summer is here, and the papers are gone! Monday, June 27, 2011. Today, I ...

Less is More: Just a Few Too Many
http://ineedtosimplifymylife.blogspot.com/2011/06/just-few-too-many.html
Monday, June 27, 2011. Just a Few Too Many. 3 bottles of bubbles from the top of the fridge. I know your first question is going to be why we keep bubbles on top of the fridge in the first place, right? Well, we have a 3 year old, and that's one of the few places she can't get to on her own. And your second question is probably what kind of mean mother would throw away her child's bubbles. Well, I threw away 3 bottles. out of 5! 6/29/11, 3:14 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Less is More: 2 Pairs Down
http://ineedtosimplifymylife.blogspot.com/2011/06/2-pairs-down-many-more-to-go.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. 2 pairs of old, worn out shoes. Today I decided to throw out 2 pairs of shoes that had seen better days. I love these shoes, but I haven't worm them in months because both pairs have holes in them. You'd think I'd have thrown them out the day they became unwearable, right? Nope, I just kept them in my closet like they'd magically become mended in there. Well, no more of that! 6/26/11, 9:15 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Of course, you know how I feel about clutter and the unnecessary! I havent always been that way- but am almost to good at getting rid of stuff that doesnt belong! If it does not have an immediate use- I trash it! Id rather ask forgiveness than permission! BTW, I think the emotional attachment is a guy thing- both Lupe and my Dad are the same way!

Less is More: Bye Bye Books
http://ineedtosimplifymylife.blogspot.com/2011/06/bye-bye-books.html
Sunday, June 26, 2011. 55 books that I've already read and don't plan to read again. This was NOT an easy thing to hand over! Joe said I was crazy for putting 20 books in the FREE bins, but my main objective here is to get rid of stuff, not to make money.). Speaking of Joe, I explained my project idea to him last night before we left home. At the end of my explanation, I said "So do you want to do it with me? Before I could finish my sentence, he'd already said "No! I like my stuff! 6/26/11, 2:02 PM.

He can bring you through it and give you a new song. Will it happen quickly or easily? No, we get through it in different ways, and at different rates. How did the Israelites get through the Red Seas? One step at a time! Now how's that for a little Thursday morning snack? Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Tuesday, June 7, 2011.

A Quintessential Life: August 2012
http://stephievjournal.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Reflections.Laughter.Truths.Awkwardness.&Love. Monday, August 6, 2012. Grace - I'm dumbfounded. I happened upon some strangers yesterday. Nothing extraordinary about that encounter I suppose. But something about this run-in made the ordinary quite different this time. In the long run I suppose I owe a thanks to them for respecting my personal convictions. It wasn't easy then and it definitely isn't easy now. I work in a Christian environment where my co-workers believe the best for my life and I actually...
