craftyasiangirl: June 2010
http://craftyasiangirl.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Me, Myself and I. Thing I'd make would be my own clothes! I finally decided that it was about time I got over this particular hangup and set out to make myself a summer wardrobe. I started out with some simple A-line skirts. Using the guidelines from Sew What! A fabulous resource - I highly recommend it), I drafted a simple pattern and made 2 skirts with side zippers. The first one is a bottomweight cotton print. It was way easier that I expected! Picked up while in Miami, I decid...

craftyasiangirl: Holiday Sewing
http://craftyasiangirl.blogspot.com/2011/01/holiday-sewing.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. In a vain attempt to give me a reason to use up my giant fabric stash, I've been on a bit of a pattern-buying spree the last few months. I decided to use some of my more recent purchases from Bit Of Whimsy. To make gifts for some of E's little friends. As a side note, I love her patterns. They are relatively inexpensive, very straight-forward and easy enough for beginners. Here is a big sister/little sister set:. And a couple Christmas-themed dolls. And for a few of you readi...

http://craftyasiangirl.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 2, 2010. First up is a cute owl jumper for a good friend's daughter's first birthday! This is the same friend that I threw the birdie baby shower for, so when I saw this owl corduroy at Jo-Ann, I knew she would love it. It's from an Ottobre. Here it is, on the birthday girl. A little big, but still super cute. Next up is a baby shower gift for another friend who is due at the end of October. I've been meaning to try out the Itty Bitty Baby Dress. Links to this post. No More Cream of Mus...

Sunday, April 11, 2010. And even more aprons. Ok, these are the last two aprons for a while, I promise! Both of these were for little boys. This first one was finished a couple weeks ago and the fabric was specifically requested by his mom. I love the combo of the skulls and stars. I had a harder time finding the right fabric for this second one since his mom did not want a specific theme, like cars, trains, etc. Have I mentioned how hard it is to find good boyish fabric? craftyasiangirl: Skirt-o-rama
http://craftyasiangirl.blogspot.com/2010/03/skirt-o-rama.html
Tuesday, March 30, 2010. About a month ago, I started making a bunch of skirts for E with the hopes that spring would soon be here, and that we could finally make a serious effort to start potty-training. Well hurrah, hooray! Both have finally come! Here are a few of the skirts I've made. These whipped up very quickly, especially with my ruffler foot. ;). This is not an uncommon look nowadays:. But of course, when the actual day came, E insisted on wearing the Minnie skirt. *sigh*. And I can't resist inc...

Sunday, March 13, 2011. Yo Gabba Gabba Party! In an effort to avoid my usual last minute scramble, I started making stuff for this party two months in advance. I had a brainstorm early on and decided I wanted to make a bunting out of felt with the Gabba faces on it. Believe it or not, I actually got about 20 feet of bunting made before January was out! I was also going to make favor bags with faces on them, but in the end, I couldn't resist these favor boxes. By the time I got home, just days before the ...
