A forum for parents and taxpayers in the Spring-Ford School District. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. The Spring-Ford Education Association and the district school board both voted tonight to approve a new five-year contract between the district and its teachers. After the SFEA approved the new agreement in a membership meeting this evening, the board voted 8-1 in favor of the new pact and unanimously approved a "memorandum of understanding" that outlines other non-contractual items between the two groups.

As I write this, my son is in the room next to me playing Weezer on the guitar with his new distortion pedal and the amp set on 10. Not exactly Christmas music, but it works. I hope your Christmas has been rich with small moments that make large memories, with the love of family, friends and neighbors. My wish for us all is that the year ahead unfolds with surprise and happy endings. Deep in the heart of Taxes.

Seems like, oh, three weeks or so since we last talked about all things Spring-Ford. I hope the new year is treating everyone well so far. Anyway, with batteries recharged and the holiday hangover slowly lifting, it's high time we get with the program and start the festivities for 2006. Everybody ready?
