If metaknight came in 8th in one game and 7th in another game, he would have a place value of 15. If he got 1 kill ...

Monthly Archives: December 2012. It’s the time of year for making top-ten lists. So, just to be safe, I made five. These are not necessarily in order, and I make no claims as to whether they’re my favorites of all time or my favorites of presently. They’re just favorites in a general sense. Fellowship of the ring. Willy wonka (gene wilder). Wind in the willows – grahame. War and peace – tolstoy. Middlemarch – eliot. Confidence man – melville. Cat in the hat comes back – seuss. Hobbit – tolkien.

Monthly Archives: February 2013. Reflections on Part Six of Janzen. My friend Joshua Smith. And I have been blogaloguing about David Janzen. Intentional Christian Community Handbook. You can read Joshua’s posts on parts One. At his blog. My own previous posts can be found here. Part Six is the last part in the book. It is about. The two themes that I honed in on are. Vocations. I’ll save the latter for a future post. For now:. Schools(s) for Conversion: 12 Marks of a New Monasticism. A prayer book (.

Monthly Archives: January 2013. Reflections on Part Four of Janzen. Community A and Community B. Janzen starts chapter 15 by comparing two communities. In community A, everyone eats breakfast separately. This community was eventually pulled apart by conflicting work schedules, etc. By contrast, in community B, everyone eats breakfast together. And who will talk with the visitor who disrupted worship last week? Mentors, Networks, and Community Visits. Reading this book has cultivated my desire to seek ong...

Monthly Archives: September 2014. Religion and Spirituality and something about Trees. The search for the sacred. The historical forms the search for the sacred has taken from from community to community. When I was little, I went to church all the time. The word spirituality was not in our vocabulary. To be fair, we also went out of our way to remind each other from time to time that Jesus didn’t come to Earth to start a religion either. He simply taught us the truth and how to live. But sometimes, peop...

Monthly Archives: November 2011. Amber got me a Nook for Christmas! No, not the tablet…. I have been living happily in Liberty these past several months, but I lacked a quiet place where I could go to get completely away. (I have found that, due to my delightfully introverted disposition, I do need a solitary place to work and unwind no matter where I live or who I live with.). Last year in Pittsburgh, the coal cellar filled the role of quiet place quite nicely. The guest room closet. November 20, 2011.

Monthly Archives: June 2011. Hi all. I want to show off my new bike, a Specialized Globe Centrum. I got it majorly discounted from ProBikes in Squirrel Hill (back rack and milk-crate sold separately) because it was a 2008 model. The bike was not very commercially successful, I think because it does not have all the features that people usually want (especially in Pittsburgh) such as shocks and lots of gears for the hills. I’ll get to where I’m going. I love that. This entry was posted in for fun.
