Out cycling yesterday in an area where there had once been old buildings and we came across clumps of tiger lilies and crocosmia (also known as montbretia). Both are regarded as weeds but enmasse in this situation they looked quite pretty. Tiger lilies shouldn't be grown in gardens near other lilies as they can easily spread disease.
