The crisp air and fall feeling of my day has inspired me to change my post at the last minute. i had planned to touch on the wonders of baking soda. But i want to share one of my all time (and now my hubby's as well.) simple vegetarian recipes perfect for this time of year: kickin' mac and cheese. Not only is it tasty, but it warms you all over and fills you up. 1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni. 4 tablespoons butter (divided in half).

So Maybe Mom was Right. Monday, January 31, 2011. January in review (plus the giveaway WINNER). At the beginning of this month I shared with you my New Year's Resolutions. Now that the month is over, I can't wait to show you how I've been doing! One of my resolutions was to lose 50 pounds by 2012. I broke that huge goal into 12 mini-goals: to lose 5 pounds a month. I also made the goal to workout at least 3 times a week. So what did all that get me? I have a lot more energy and I generally feel better.

Friday, May 13, 2011. Abby Update - 16 months old. Abby is now 16 months old. She loves walking! I have found that when Abby is playing and she is very quiet for too long, that usually spells trouble. I was at the computer this past week and Abby was in the family room playing. The computer is just on the other side of the couch that's in the family room so I am literally a few feet from her. Abby at 14 months old, just learning to walk. May 15, 2011 at 9:45 PM.
