Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Thursday, May 30, 2013. Food for the Soul. Last evening I met a friend from my Wyandotte High School days for dinner. Milly's Muse: January 2014
http://millysmuse.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. The morning after we arrived in Houston for Christmas, Gus (about 11 years old) refused to walk. Knowing he is a drama king I suggested we just ignore him - give him an aspirin - and let him rest for day. Hubby kept watching old Gus fall on the floor and moan, decreed that we had to find an emergency vet. By 11:00 am they called to consult again. The pictures of Gus showed he had only some slight ...

Milly's Muse: It's the meds fault
http://millysmuse.blogspot.com/2014/08/its-meds-fault.html
Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Tuesday, August 19, 2014. It's the meds fault. On Monday I was finally able to go back to water aerobics but still felt pretty out of it. I also had an acupuncture treatment for my knees Monday afternoon. The doctor has just called and announced I should stop talking the horrible medication - you think? But she also sent out a script for something else to try. We'll see what happens this week. Milly's Muse: August 2014
http://millysmuse.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Thursday, August 28, 2014. Acturally reading - a book! In my marathon TV watching of the 1990's series Reba. N, my brain (after a second miserable round of eliminating mood enhancement drugs from my system) suddenly said, "Hey, stupid, maybe you might actually enjoy reading a good book. Not just a ladies magazine or a People-type magazine, but a real book.". Granted, I found it tough going in spots and all the scientific philos...

Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Sunday, June 29, 2014. Barbecue, corn on the cob, watermelon, fried chicken, potato salad, and sparklers: this is connotative of the 4th of July. We met friends last weekend at a local famous fried chicken joint so that taste had been satisfied. The potato salad and summer fruit was calling to me still. After CBS Sunday Morning. And ABC with George Stephanopoulos,. Links to this post. Thursday, June 19, 2014. The message, today...

Milly's Muse: April 2014
http://millysmuse.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Wednesday, April 30, 2014. I've Become the Most Boring Person on the Planet. I'm in a dry spell. No, actually it's a super drought. My brain is empty. My personality has evaporated. Can I go to back to bed now? I don't want to do it - whatever it may be. My energy is non-existent. Doing anything other than curling up in bed has become a chore. Is the TV on? Napping with the dogs? Go get a hair cut? Not worth the trouble. Been r...

Milly's Muse: One new doctor; couple of new meds
http://millysmuse.blogspot.com/2014/08/one-new-doctor-couple-of-new-meds.html
Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Monday, August 11, 2014. One new doctor; couple of new meds. When our GP moved on to private practice he recommended a woman doctor for us. We met her early this morning, got a pretty clean bill of health - all the old meds seemed to be working fine and I got a couple of new ones to try. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Milly's Muse: May 2014
http://millysmuse.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Musings from a lady-of-a-certain age about her life, her hubby, and her boys. Saturday, May 31, 2014. Oooh, my aching head. Since 1968 I've had a headache. That's when I remember it as a long term event, anyway. Having my first "career" job, I would climb out of bed at 6 am and dash to the kitchen for a swig of diet Pepsi and two aspirin - every morning. Usually that would last me until bedtime. Around 1975 Hubby introduced me to Vanquish. I don't tell my doctors about the headache but I do list the Vanq...
