http://busy-bees-academy.blogspot.com/2011/10/spelling-week-of-october-17-2011.html
Take a step inside our homeschool. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Spelling Week of October 17, 2011. So, I am trying to get back into the habit of updating this blog as well as using the free online spelling help, KidsSpell.com. I really like KidsSpell because I am able to make a custom spelling list using the spelling words we have that week. The only rule for bonus words is that I get final say. If I feel a word is too easy I can say no. Sometimes I let them have an easier one just for fun or bec...I am ...

http://busy-bees-academy.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Take a step inside our homeschool. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. For school I thought it would be fun if we tried to make our own handsoap. Okay, so we didn't start from complete scratch! We got some soap from Garden of Francis. Montessori and Homemaking store. Their soaps are all safe and easy to use even with young children. You can choose vegetable. Oil or animal fats. The girls and I had a blast melting the soap and adding color, scents, and a few exfoliants. That we had picked up from Michaels. I am a h...

Busy Bees Academy: July 2009
http://busy-bees-academy.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Take a step inside our homeschool. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. My youngest Emma use to be a reluctant reader, until I discovered some tricks that have made reading more enjoyable to her. So, giving them a special book especially for them might help. Then one day I chose a few books for her to choose from and asked her to choose from those, which she happily did and sat down to read no whining and no tears. Lesson learned, sometimes too many choices can be way too overwhelming for a beginning reader. And the ...
