8230; beautiful journey. October 1, 2011. It is that time of year…. That time of year again! Fall… Autumn… foliage… clocks changing back… longer nights… yummy smells coming from the kitchen… electric blankets… snuggling in front of the fireplace… Today was the first time in a LONG time that my whole family played and got dirty outside. The weather was perfect! I love this time of year! Especially since I know what is around the corner… lots of special memories made our families for the holidays!

I could literally feel their love for him just looking at their photos. Monday, September 20, 2010. From July - Olivia's Birthday! We've had a very busy past few months! I'm going to try and play catch-up over the next few days so you can see all the cute pics I took and so when I finally get around to scrapbooking, I'll know when these photos were taken :). Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Our church put on an adoption benefit for a local family. It was a great success! Not only did we raise a good amount of money for them, but many people were made more aware of the plight of the orphan! Currently the mom and her bio. daughter are in Europe visiting their 2 little boys. They spend 5 days with them and then have to come home. In a few months, when everything is finalized, they will be able to go back and bring the boys home with them! Ryan's wife and mom :).

Well, Greg picked them up TODAY from their orphanages! I couldn't be more happy for them! I can't wait to love on those boys! Our chicken coop, barn, and back of the house. Dad ducking for the sprinkler :). We planted a garden this Spring. Not just a little, bitty garden either. A BIG garden! We've already gotten to taste them and they are SO good - definitely make the store bought taste like nothing! The kids enjoy climbing over it!

Things I wish I had known before I was born. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Fall is a time of pondering and looking back, for me. It's a time to sit and remember times that once were but can never be again. It's my season to enjoy my hot chocolate on the porch with a good book and some self-reflection. Monday, May 9, 2011. Mother's Day Photo Shoot. So while writing my post yesterday, I realized I don't have any photos of myself with all the kids. Apparently, I'm usually behind the camera instead of in front of it! So I asked Garr to take some pictures of us for Mother's Day. The kids were happy to do it - well, except Danny, who wasn't in the mood for pictures as you can see from his face :( I did manage to get him to stand near us by bribing him with a sucker. hey, you do what you gotta do! 4 of a kind.

Monday, May 16, 2011. Boys and their Toys! Daniel is all boy. The kids LOVES anything with wheels or scoops or power. Recently our neighbors had some large trees cut down. We were sad, because two of the trees were great shade trees for our house, yard, and driveway. But we understood - the trees were getting old and branches came down every storm. On the plus side, they gave us most of the wood! It is much appreciated as wood heat is our only heat! Here is the wood we were given -. Links to this post.
