The Flower Girl Blog: March 2012
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Wednesday, March 21, 2012. In spite of the snow still clinging to shady patches of my yard, I am ready to celebrate spring! And what better way to do so than with some beautiful spring bulbs? A mix of different colored tulips. I love the red and white striping on this dark purple tulip. Gorgeous! This little crocus blossom is the first flower from my garden this year! I had to rescue it from the snow yesterday (it snapped off under the weight). So excited for more to come!

The Flower Girl Blog: May 2012
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Monday, May 21, 2012. Pink and navy blue. Pink and navy blue are a fabulous color combo. I just love the bold contrast. These wedding flowers were various shades of pink, with navy blue and silver accents. Plus the godetia are more showy, so the eye is drawn more to them.). The bride's bouquet was made entirely with godetia. These beautiful blossoms are light pink around the ruffled edges with dark pink centers. See what I mead about that ruffly/feminine look? And here you can see h...

The Flower Girl Blog: October 2013
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Tuesday, October 8, 2013. A little while back I got an email from a bride whose wedding I did last fall. And she sent me this beautiful photo from the wedding! I love the simple elegance of roses, and the soft lavender color fit the style of the wedding so perfectly. I'm sifting through pictures from the rest of my summer weddings, so I'll hopefully share those with you soon! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Flower Girl website. Http:/ meg-theflowergirl.webs.com. The Flower Girl Blog: June 2013
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Saturday, June 29, 2013. Bright summer wedding flowers. Occasionally I have a bride who is coming in from out of town to get married, and so we communicate through phone calls and emails and never actually meet face to face. That was the case with this wedding, although I felt like I got to know a little bit of her personality through planning her wedding flowers with her. She wanted a very bright, summery color palette, which was a lot of fun! For the mothers' corsages we added a l...

The Flower Girl Blog: September 2012
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Saturday, September 29, 2012. Today I had the pleasure of doing my first wedding since having my baby this summer. It was the perfect wedding to transition back into this again, since the bride only needed one thing: her bouquet. She was very much a no-nonsense bride, and wanted to keep everything super simple. No wedding party, no extravagant reception, just the ceremony and dinner with family and friends. Lavender rose bouquet with white ribbon wrap and pearls. Back in the saddle.

The Flower Girl Blog: fall sunflower bridals
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2013/11/fall-sunflower-bridals.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Thursday, November 14, 2013. I've gotten way behind on here, but I decided to share a little fall inspiration today from a bridal session I recently did a bouquet for. This bride loves sunflowers, so those are the basis for all of the florals for the bridals and the wedding (coming up in a couple weeks). We went with a lovely fall palette of deep yellows, cranberry reds, and rusty oranges, with navy blue as an accent. There are also some mums and yellow wax flowers too.

The Flower Girl Blog: red roses
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2013/01/red-roses.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Monday, January 28, 2013. Classic, elegant, timeless. And the quintessential floral symbol of love. The colors for this wedding were primarily cream and black, but we went for a pop of color with the flowers, using all red roses. It kept the very traditional elegant feel, but added a little contrast and interest. The bride's bouquet - all red roses with a cream ribbon wrap and pearl pins. So classic! The groom's boutonniere - a red rose with seeded eucalyptus. I was so bummed!

The Flower Girl Blog: white, coral, and yellow bridal bouquet
http://megtheflowergirl.blogspot.com/2013/08/white-coral-and-yellow-bridal-bouquet.html
The Flower Girl Blog. Tuesday, August 27, 2013. White, coral, and yellow bridal bouquet. I'm so excited to share the bouquet from this bridal session! And even more excited to share the flowers from the wedding - once I've gone through all my pictures. She also loves lace, and was using lace in many elements for the wedding (including her gorgeous dress! So we went with more textured, ruffly flowers - roses, stock, and cremons (similar to a spider mum, but a little softer look) for this bouquet. Http:/ m...
