Short Stories From Saturday. Short stories written in the first person. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Sierra de la Espuma. I picked up a pen and put it to a piece of paper, unsure of where it would take me. I grabbed my holster and six gun, because you never know when it might come in handy. The albino smiled at me behind his whiskers. He knew it would be an adventure. It’s not that we were ignorant of the dangers we faced, but we managed our risks with a strict code of conduct. We were headed in search of the...

Short Stories From Saturday. Short stories written in the first person. Monday, May 20, 2013. There are no hills or forested areas near my home, so I’m not sure how all of this came about. What’s going on? 8221; shouted an elderly woman who was bent at the back and walked with a cane, “What are those men doing? 8220;You’ll have to wait for answers. We are not authorized to share information” one of the officers responded. Once the sheet was in position they lifted it into the air. I saw the center of...

Sunday, January 1, 2012. Here is one end of the giant tug-of-war rope (left) and a picture of me standing by one of the two ends of the rope they connect together to create one really long rope (right). I decided I would try to help move it, but it was a little to heavy for me! Then they tie the two round edges together and we are ready to begin. But first, they had these warriors hover over the rope. I’m not really sure what this was for, but it was cool to see them pass over the rope. Travel template&#...

http://morty129.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 1, 2010. Chris and I had a hard time moving through the caves at times because we were crouched down avoiding stalactites and stalagmites. There was even a part in the tour where we turned out our lights and it was so dark I couldn't see my hand in front of my face! It was an awesome experience and was probably the best $5 bucks we ever spent. Chris and me with our Caving Certification Cards. It's still no Chevy S-10, but it at least has the feel of a truck. Short Stories from Long Runs

Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Last weekend, my sister casually mentioned that my last post here came on June 26. It's been a conscious step back, actually, as I worked to assess priorities, time management, and what I'd like to say. For now, that means a more formal, more permanent step away. To say I have loved coming here and writing is a gross understatement. I have absolutely loved. Friday, June 26, 2015. To Sum It Up. Not gonna lie, I was gonna blow things off over here today. Short stories from the classroom

Short stories from the classroom. Monday, May 7, 2012. This mantle was with year 2/1 children as a voluntary organisation called WPIT. The learning was mostly to prepare the children for KS1 stats; I wanted to show how a creative approach can still deliver the results you want. They had a bit of job to do when they received a letter from a member of the public who was a fellow nature lover. Mrs Jones stated how she was disappointed with the website, that there wasn't a lot of information on it. Backwoods...

Thursday, November 15, 2012. A Little Halloween Post (2 weeks later). Owen really enjoyed the inflatables. On Halloween night, I was able to get off work at 6 instead of 7. I cooked dinner and Marcus and Owen took care of the Trick or Treaters. Owen was fascinated with all the dressed up kids. He just hung out by the window-and tried to sneak candy-most of the night. I travel through the trenches to the firing zone, and soon my musket is blazing as I gun down the distant enemies, in a pitiful attempt to cross no-man’s-land. I take my chance, and climb over the dirt walls, despite the several warnings from my comrades. Every day I challenge myself, dare myself, double-dare m...
