Pixiecup Industries: June 2012
http://pixiecupindustries.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
How is it that I come up with a plan for the day and by nearly 4pm, I haven't done what I set out to do? I completed this quilt a few weeks ago as a grandmother's quilt. It's baby size. I want to love it so much. But I don't. Not the pattern's fault. I just don't love it. Pattern was a free one from here. Background is Kona Orchid. I used a Cape Ann charm pack for the blocks. The top came together quickly so it was definitely an instant gratification type of project. Labels: 2012 completed projects.

Mommy's Nap Time: April 2015
http://mommysnaptime.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Reclaiming my blog - Did you see my new tattoo? I haven't been blogging very frequently. I hold no obligation to this blog, other than a personal obligation to catalog my work. . but I still feel the need to mention my absence. Shruti and I's Quiltcon tattoos Quilt Blocks and Expecto Patronum. Blogging was easier when I was home more! Anyway, my time as Tech director is now over, and I'm ready to get back to at least blogging about finished projects! Lol I'm so behind! I've publi...

I'm a twenty-something mom who loves to sew and read. I've been sewing for about fifteen years, and fell in love with quilting after my daughter was born. I love to design quilts, and enjoy the challenge of working with teeny tiny pieces. Zip pouches, paper piecing, and flickr swaps are some of my favorite things.

Crazy Birds Studio: More Circles!
http://sewbird.blogspot.com/2015/07/more-circles.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2015. These circles are very addicting! I had the 4th of July weekend off, so I went a little circle crazy! A rainbow of circles! Each one I finish is my new favorite! Circle quilt of Quilting is more Fun than Housework and I love how she off set the circles with her neutral blocks. I have light green cut out and ready to sew. Maybe a dark blue as well. I would like to make this bigger than a lap quilt. Maybe neutral blocks on the sides? Linking up with WIP Wednesday. July 26, 2015 at ...

crafty candace: December 2013
http://craftycandace.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
The life of a self-taught quilter. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Let's just say it; I'm a horrible blogger! I have been sporadic in my posts for 2013 and 2012 wasn't much better. I'm not the type of person to make new year's resolutions, and when I do I don't keep them (like most other people! For instance last year my resolution was to be able to do real pull ups by the end of the year. Well that didn't happen, but I did become a runner! 2 half marathons and many personal bests in shorter races. Fresh Lem...

Crazy Birds Studio: August 2015
http://sewbird.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. The Circle (Bubble) Quilt is finished and off to be long arm quilted by Sister Beth. I was not able to get a picture of it before it left, so we'll have to wait for it's return for the photoshoot. And I still need to decide on a name. I love how it turned out! Not so with Mrs. Scrappy Trip. I think there are too many different fabrics or not enough contrast or too much contrast or just ugly fabric! My eyes hurt when I look at this! Crazy Birds Studio: January 2014
http://sewbird.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 19, 2014. I have been swept up again in an internet block craze! This time it is the Economy Block. I first saw it here on Rita's blog. Red Pepper Quilts, but the blocks were too small, 5", and I knew I wouldn't have enough to make a decent size quilt. It was easy to say no. Then, Amanda, at Crazy Mom Quilts, enlarge the blocks! But, I just don't have that much. So, how about joining me? And trimmed to blocks to 8.5". Which fabric do you like for the final round, lime green or coral?

Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Great Balls of Color! I love these circle log cabins! The pattern is from Better Homes and Gardens Quilt Sampler Magazine (Spring/Summer 2014). I intend to use my scraps to make these. Maybe I will have enough for a rainbow. For now, this shot of yellow makes me smile. I used white and light ivory for the background so that the yellow would pop. A border might be a good idea to square up the block. Linking up to Freshly Pieced. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://sewbird.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 18, 2015. I have finished my version of the Modern Maple. Pattern here. Sorry about the poor lighting)! I really like how the different sized leaves give a falling effect to the composition! The perfect backing material, S'more Love! The colors AND trees! I even got the binding all ready. Kaffe Fasset stripes! All ready to get quilted. Am I the only one who saves these little triangles from the binding? I just can't bear to throw them away! They are so cute! Linking up to WIP Wednesday.
