Everything is meaningless. – Ecclesiastes 1:2b. What would it feel like to lay your head on your pillow at night and say, “You know what I did today? I teamed up with God to change the world”? I read this statement in Bill Hybels book. What meaning does my life have? I want to do something that has lasting value, that is bigger and grander than me. How about what Keller says concerning vocational work, but again, I think it applies to all areas of your life…. I’m down for that…are you? I agree that the c...

endings for beginnings – thoughts for another new year | Mindless Musings

Everything is meaningless. – Ecclesiastes 1:2b. Endings for beginnings – thoughts for another new year. One reason I think people struggle with new year’s resolutions is that they are often additions to an already full life. (I am not saying this is true of. Resolution, but quite a few! So after a few weeks, or maybe even months, the new goal is squeezed out by the patterns and behaviors that are already entrenched in our lives. The last one in…the first one out! Necessary Endings, Henry Cloud, pg 15).

Karl and Liesl Kranich. Accelerating ministry through technology. Downloading the Holy Spirit? Earlier this year we heard this encouraging story of how God used technology to reach someone in Hungary. Here it is in his own words. My name is Balazs, I’m from Hungary, and I’d like to share my story of how I became a Christian. I read the article, and it was very clear and very logical. I was thinking like If I really click this link, Jesus will really come into my life? What has happened every since? If it...

Karl and Liesl Kranich. Accelerating ministry through technology. Why Does it Have to Hurt So Much? Why does it have to hurt so much? You go about your business every day, doing what you normally do, and smiling at people around you. Then when you least expect it, the sadness is back. You look at a stranger, or overhear a conversation, or remember a time, and suddenly the tears come again. And you wonder if this will ever stop. But you say nothing. But you keep quiet. People ask, How are you doing? Some ...

This entry was posted in General. April 29, 2016. Each year, thousands of ...
