Unfortunately, the road up was still covered with patches of deep icy snow and I decided not to try going past the park. This is the view after we had turned around, and I also posted a photo of Steptoe in a previous post. If you look at that photo, the left edge of the trees is where I took this photo from. When I was out taking pictures of the Kibbie Dome a few days ago, I noticed a huge chunk of the roof missing. I am also wondering if they plan on replacing or repainting the tiles you can see just behind the scaffolding that decorate the face of the dome. I will keep you posted! Labels: U of I.
