About Lemurian Shasta Classic. About Lemurian Shasta Classic. The Lemurian is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization comprised of Shasta County, California cycling enthusiasts. We have no paid members. Our goal is to give participants the best race possible and the most value for their entry fee. All donated merchandise is given to the racers in the form of raffle prizes, and any excess funds are either support the local bicycling community or are applied to the following year’s race.

About Lemurian Shasta Classic. I came in 4:14 on my SS, 34t/19t. My goal was to complete it on my SS and I did! This race is no joke, it really is tough as nails. I remember riding the gravel road after couch and I stand up to try and crank the wheels one more time and then I just fell over, lol. About Lemurian Shasta Classic. Whiskeytown is renowned for it excellent single track, flume trails and decomposed granite. All courses make maximum use of single track. Add in a post-race swim in beautiful Whiskeytown Lake and you’ve got the ingredients for a perfect day! Long Course Approx 26.5 miles. Persons under 18 years of age are not allowed to race this course without prior approval by race director before 4-29-16. More than 65% single track. Intermediate Course 20 miles. Short Course 8 miles.
