My Study Abroad Experience in Japan! うち と そと (In and Out). April 8, 2011 in Japan. I’d like to talk about the complex system known in Japanese society as うち (uchi) and そと (soto). Or in and out. I’m not an expert on Japanese culture, but it is a really interesting concept worth talking about. My Study Abroad Experience in Japan! Sakura (Japanese Cherry Blossom) Festival! May 2, 2011 in Japan. So, Sakura season only lasts for a week or so before the petals begin to fall. We really lucked out because it was pouring down the rain when we left Osaka, and by the time we got to Kyoto and dressed in our kimono (rentals–these are WAY too expensive to own), we were all set for a beautiful day in the sun! Here are some photos of me in Kimono during Japanese Cherry Blossom Season in Kyoto, Japan:.

Monday, September 6, 2010. Tokyo Tales Pt. 1- the Suite Life. Alright, I'm going to start talking about the traveling I've done since getting here. It's been.2 1/2 weeks since I flew into Tokyo, and I haven't even talked about the city yet! So here's the first Tokyo post. Standing in the Mist. Commenting is a Go! So, just so everyone knows, I've finally added commenting on here. It's far from a perfect solution, but it works, allows everyone to post comments (even if you're un-registered), and it should stop the majority of bots from coming in and messing around with stuff.
