GREENFIELDS: Sort of a rest day!
http://www.greenfieldsnc.net/2010/10/sort-of-rest-day.html
Dr Samuel Green purchased land on the east bank of the Cape Fear River in the 1730's. His intention was to cultivate rice in the swampy lowland. He named his plantation Greenfields. Sort of a rest day! We slept in this morning and I got to watch Meet the Press which was good because Rachel Maddow. We have fo...

Reading Addiction: March 2010
http://readingaddiction-bookmobiler.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
So many books, so little time! What I'm reading now. I am a reading addict, I chose the name because I always travel with a book. I'm single, but as the eldest of 7 children I have more that a dozen nieces and nephews and by now a fair number of great nieces and nephews. (In the sense of being related, they're all great kids. Beware! If I can't run it through a spell checker all bets are off! View my complete profile. Links About Books and Authors. Dare To Be Stupid. Eagles Over the Kennebec.

Dragon Ship out in E-ARC format: liaden_spoilers
http://liaden-spoilers.livejournal.com/22751.html
Dragon Ship out in E-ARC format. I notice the community doesn't seem to have had a lot of traffic lately. Dragon Ship, the sequel to Ghost Ship, is now available in E-ARC format. Would there be any interest in spoiler discussion? It turns out there's a more-active spoiler post. S LJ, so discussion should probably go there instead. Post a new comment. Crossed Wires: Paying it forward or Contest!!
http://melscott.blogspot.com/2010/03/paying-it-forward-or-contest.html
A journey into writing, reading and whatever else happens. March 01, 2010. Paying it forward or Contest! It's still a little hard to believe that sometime next year people will be able to pull my book off the shelf and (hopefully! Enjoy their time in my stories. But it's true and to celebrate that fact, I've decided to celebrate some of the authors who've given me so much enjoyment over the years and have some role to play in the type of writer I am today. This month's book is Sunshine by Robin McKinley.

A journey into writing, reading and whatever else happens. September 28, 2010. Books I'm looking forward to - Spring edition. Back in May I did a blog on books I was looking forward to for the rest of the year. Since I've read everything on that list that has been released and added a few more things to my "ooh, interesting/cool/yay book by favourite author" list, I thought I'd do an update. So here's a taste of some books I'm going to be reading in the next few months. The Iron Duke - Meljean Brook (Nov...

http://melscott.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
A journey into writing, reading and whatever else happens. December 27, 2010. Currently pondering cat names as this little cutie came home with me this morning. The new girl is teeny (she's about 9-11 months old but nowhere near as big as Tabasco and he's not a huge cat) and smoochy and playful. She's an RSPCA cat and has already had a litter just after she came into the shelter (far too young.please desex your pets! Posted by M.J. December 23, 2010. I feel like I should write an inspiring Christmas post...
