After going out to eat, we went back to Grandpa Stevens' home &. The kids" went for a walk in his lovely neighborhood. Little Lee getting topped off. Jeff's Bday is 9/4, Philip, 8/30 and I'm 8/31. Sitting in my Greatmother's rocking chair. Philip scanned some of Grandpa Schlappi's cartoons and put them together and framed them for Kirk to hang in his office. Lee had lots of fun playing with the tissue paper and bows. Great Grandpa Stevens playing with Lee. This wonderful family picture made me cry! Beautiful Heather in her new scarf.

All of the "California Girls" in the family met today to have tea. In honor of Mom's recent birthday! Mom, Heather and I drove from LaHabra, and Robin, Gretchen. Abby came down from Whittier together. We went to McKenna's Tea Cottage in Seal Beach. A proper cup of tea! We chose soup or salad, then we had finger sandwiches and scones.

Monday, August 25, 2008. Traveling under the radar. Friday, August 22, 2008. Not only meadering but wandering. For the last stop of the day we went back to Pasadena to Vroman's bookstore. My Mom worked at Vroman's when she was in her early 20's and still living in Pasadena where she was born and raised. She probably spent more than she made because she is a prolific reader. Thursday, October 9, 2008. Sad but grateful day. I am grateful that God walked alongside us as we raised our children to understand that the church( the body of Christ) can be a place of refuge. I am grateful that Amy and Jeff have the hope of heaven knowing that Leah is with Jesus and someday we will all be together. I am grateful for a God who takes care of all our needs and some of our wants too. I so wanted to take Leah to the beach and play in the sand and jump the waves. October 9, 2008 at 2:00 PM.

Friday, November 26, 2010. This year we gathered at John and Pat Reinhardt's for our Thanksgiving feast. We also came together to celebrate our parents 60th wedding anniversary. Spring, Easter, Lee's 1st Birthday and a Little Trip to San Diego. We went to breakfast on the Balboa Pier at Ruby's and then to see the surfers at. The Wedge in Corona Del Mar a few weeks ago. March18, 1978-March18, 2013- 35th Anniversary! Easter Sunday we all celebrated together at Abby's parents home. Here's Grammy holding Lee. I'm not finding very many Easter eggs!
