Wednesday, August 12, 2015. July 31, 2015. We headed back to the beach for our 2nd true beach day of the summer. Love being able pack up the kids for a fun morning, lunch, and early afternoon on the beach and still make it home in time for long naps after playing so hard. It's a win for everybody. Rhett was making plans to get together with a new friend, and they decided we should go picnic at a place on top on this mountain not far from this guys house. He had never been there, but wanted to check it out. After driving some back mountain roads, we made out way to the top. The views were splendid. The availability for a good picnic spot was a little lacking, but we found a shady spot and made it work. You could say it was a road less traveled. ;).

Friday, August 7, 2015. July 18-19, 2015. On the 2nd day of Bayram the boys headed out on a camping trip. This trip has literally been planned for months (which is unheard of here! They had talked about going to this particular yayla (mountain plateau - above the tree line), but ended up stopping a little ways down from it to set up camp. Monday, May 18, 2015. May 10, 2015. Mother's Day this year was full our normal busy Sunday activities, but it was fun being able to steal extra hugs and kisses from my littles throughout the day! Tuesday, November 25, 2014. We decorated for Christmas the Sunday before Thanksgiving this year. We didn't have an evening service that night so when the girls woke up from naps we got started. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Emily - 5 years. Having a five year old is so fun! A few things I treasure about my 5 year old:. She loves to ride her bike, swing, look at books, have books read to her, take walks, and play with her doll house. Emily is SO helpful! Her favorite meal right now is an egg strata breakfast casserole, interesting, I know.:). She asks for a peanut butter and banana sandwich every day for lunch. Her favorite toys are her doll house, art supplies, puzzles, and her play computer.

She had her 15 month check up last month and she weighed 22.11 pounds and was in the 47th percentile for her weight. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Bert led a mission trip to McCreary County, Kentucky a few weeks ago. They had a great trip serving and ministering to the people there! The girls and I packed up and headed to Toccoa to spend some time with family and friends. It was a great week for us too!
