Go towards i.e Electronic city , keep going towards Hosur , then to Krishnagiri and then dharmapuri . Krishnagiri is About 100 Kms from Bangalore . Before Krishnagiri a bridge will come ; dont take left there just keep going straight over the bridge to go towards Dharmapuri . Road till there is awesome , you can easily ride at 80 Km/Hr .

Bettadakatte (11) - Bandipur (1) - Exit. Trek distance :- 22.5 Km . You have to contact Bandipur Forest officer for permission and guide. Shoes with nice grip is a must , also carry rope if possible.

And while coming we came through :-. Kemmangundi Linganahalli ChickMangalur Muthodi ( another reserve forest) Muthodi ChickMangalur Belur Hassan NeelaMangala. You can get accomodation at Kemmangundi and at Kalhatti village also. 08262-235334. We are lucky enough to get a room there without booking .

Double-laned NH 4 till Neelamangala after which NH 48 towards Hassan is a single-laner but, thanks to its geometry and smooth road surface, is a delight to drive on.
