A Visit to Croatia. Well, we love the history and the character of Eastern Europe, and we wondered if Dubrovnik could possibly be as beautiful as its pictures. (It is.). The trip involved nine flight segments, covering over 11,000 air miles with stays in four hotels. The language is impossible for us but English is very widely spoken so we had no trouble communicating. Yes, Croatian beer is. The fort in Dubrovnik. Interesting, but it has lots of steps to climb.
