Saturday, August 29, 2015. First Week of First Grade. Kylee has officially been a first grader for a week! She came home happy from school every day this week and has been excited to go back the next morning. She has used the words "awesome" and "amazing" to describe her day. I am so happy that she is happy to be in school! In her lunch every day too, which she loves. In fact, I just found a bunch more on pinterest so I can keep it up throughout the year! Thursday, June 25, 2015. Belated Mother's Day Post. Matt got me exactly what I wanted - a couple hanging flower baskets, complete with a drip line :-) They sure make the front of our house look even more beautiful. They make me smile every time I see them. I love them! It's about time I wrote this blog post. that we are expecting an addition to our family! Kylee and Tyler will have a new little brother around October 5th. At least we're hoping we make it that far this time :-). I guess there is only a 25...

Monday, August 17, 2015. Camping in Garden Valley. We decided to take our chances since the website still showed there were 13 "walk up" spaces available for Friday night. We pulled into the campground around 7 on Friday night, and guess what. there wasn't a single site available. They were all either occupied or reserved. The other rotten thing was that the few camping places we had passed on the way to Pine Flats were all full too. The kiddos loved throwing rocks in the river and swinging on the swings.

Wednesday, April 22, 2015. In honor of Earth Day, I thought I'd post pictures of our latest project:. A few weeks ago we bought some fruit trees (apple, pear, and peach) and were excited to plant them, but knew we needed to prep the ground first. We have awful clay soil and knew our trees wouldn't do well if we didn't give them better soil. So the trees sat on our patio until this week. So after 3 days of work, we finally got the trees planted, the sod re-laid, and the sprinklers turned on. We still ...

Playing with stickers has definitely become one of Tyler's favorite activities. Hudson Happenings: Book Club

I love being in a book club! I enjoy reading books I may not normally pick up off the shelf, hearing different opinions and perspectives on the same book, and of course, enjoying dinner once a month with friends. Jen and I established book club in September 2010. And we went strong for a couple of years. We took a little break after I had Tyler, but have started back up! We are only meeting quarterly now, and are rotating hosts, but that makes things a little more manageable with kiddos in the picture.
