Grateful that the majority of nurses I've worked with, and especially my preceptor, are examples of knowledgeable nurses who take responsibility for their actions. As for how my first few shifts have gone? They have been busy. One of my patient's on the first night asked me, "Are you sure you want to go into this profession? You can do it!

Since Carson was down in San Diego participating in Trek (a reenactment of pioneers crossing the plains) we did not celebrate his birthday until July. When my nurse and were turning her from one side to the other, the patient started yelling, "please don't tie me down! We were both surprised.I guess she has been in restraints before.
