My Heart is Full | ReadingAfrica

My Heart is Full. Asymp; 2 Comments. My last 24 hours has been full of surprises–literally. I’ve gone my whole life without having a surprise party and I have just had two in the last two days! Last night the Williams invited us for dinner and surprised us with a special good-bye dinner with our friends. Our friends from Xai-Xai even drove down — probably 7 hours RT — for the party! That’s a lot of love! As we were leaving, Carol and I stopped by the office where all the ladies were waiting with snacks a...

That Mom | ReadingAfrica

Asymp; 1 Comment. When you were younger…. well before having children…Did you ever look at mothers with children and think thoughts like, “Wipe the kid’s nose already! 8221; Or “We can’t find clothes that match, really? 8221; I used to look in the school lost-and-found when I just had two children and one was at home, the other in kindergarten, and I’d see giant looking children’s shoes there (clearly for scary, big junior highers) and I’d think. Who does this? An angelic one-shoed princess. And my favor...

Back in America | ReadingAfrica

https://readingafrica.wordpress.com/2015/12/20/back-in-america

Asymp; 3 Comments. What a journey we’ve been on –and I’m certain it’s not yet over! So here we are! We traveled with our 11 bags, 5 carry-ons, 23 hours of flying time, 32 hours of travel time, through a 10 hour time change. We are over our jet lag and embracing all pre-packaged, ready-to-eat foods that we see. We both pause, I’m thinking… Cute. But I hear my girl softly say, “Bummer, I thought it was going to say ‘Faith’ ” Then she turned to look at the next rack. Larr; Previous post. Next post →. Oh I l...

kingdom playgrounds: Crack

http://kingdomplaygrounds.blogspot.com/2014/03/crack.html

Thursday, March 27, 2014. Andnow we can add "accidentally throwing a baseball over the backyard fence and shattering the neighbor's bedroom window" to our long list of Little Boy Shenanigans. The sound of glass shattering outside is NOT what you want to hear while you are making dinner. I was scared to look! I really didn't want it to be a window! The culprit this time was Riley who immediately burst into tears because he was convinced he would have to somehow pay for a new window with his own money.

Monday, March 29, 2010. I'm back from hibernation. I'm reading again. It has been a long time since I last read a book. I really missed it. Links to this post. Friday, May 8, 2009. Charlotte's Web (E.B. White). These are the words in Charlotte's web, high in the barn. Her spiderweb tells of her feelings for a little pig named Wilbur, as well as the feelings of a little girl named Fern. who loves Wilbur, too. Their love has been shared by millions of readers. Reading after midnight, living my dreams by day..

Books from Then and Now. The Midnight Cup of Coffee. 2011 AZ Book Challenge. The Beauty of Words. And they lived happily ever after…. Put the book away and give me a kiss. Probably the best new voice in the YA literature. I simply loved this girl’s wittiness and the story itself was just as great! About the book I didn’t get the chance to talk about it when I finished reading it and it’s a shame, really, because it was such an entertaining story. It kept me laughing and laughing …. This is the second boo...
