à la carte - serving random muses in life: July 2010
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Soan article was written today. about my job. What qualifies university psychology majors, Fulbright scholars or students of medieval history to be part of Co. C? For one thing, they need to be exceptional at their endeavors. Today, Co. C recruits globally and reviews several thousand resumés annually (for just 5 spots). How are “smart” candidates identified? Of course, they must be accomplished academically, from a very young age. But that’s just one of many criteria. I have the ...

à la carte - serving random muses in life: Operation Z!NG- Success!
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2011/04/operation-zng-success.html
Saturday, April 2, 2011. After plenty of 4am stay-in-office work nights and 7am mornings, my colleagues have declared that 我 “已经成仙了-又不吃,又不睡,又不动!” Lol. But 2 days ago, my darlings sprung me a surprise (and I literally fell headwards into it by calling them at the time they were here! With food, their presence, and just a warm bucket (heck, pool! Of love. =). It's true when they say that "True wealth is family, friends and health". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Relocated to USA since Sep 2008.

à la carte - serving random muses in life: Serendipitous Coalescence of Fate
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2010/10/serendipitous-coalescence-of-fate.html
Monday, October 11, 2010. Serendipitous Coalescence of Fate. I met Mr. K today in a "Serendipitous coalescence of fate" (as he puts it), who taught me many things. Build bridges, not walls. You don't always have to be right. Think creative and invest early. You reap what you sow. Stand tall and look far from your rubble of failures. Enjoy life and take time to recharge. And then I saw all these lessons repeated on this really incredible blog. WOW. You really have to go check this blog out.

à la carte - serving random muses in life: Good Friday!
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2011/04/good-friday.html
Friday, April 22, 2011. Have you ever experienced God? It has been a bizarre question to me for quite a while. I hold Reason in high esteem but do we not believe electricity exists just because we can't see/smell/hear/taste nor touch it? Galatians 5:22-23 [ But the. Fruit of the Spirit. Is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.] spoke to me in an "ah-hah! Moment so intense, it strengthened my faith that God is working His miracles. =).

à la carte - serving random muses in life: Bought domain!
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2011/01/bought-domain.html
Sunday, January 23, 2011. Biz Idea #2 hit last Tues and now less than a week later, the idea's been tweaked and re-tweaked and I've *actually* acted on it! I bought a Domain so I've at least secured a site. =). While at that, I searched for zing.com, getzinged.com and all's taken up - even my getzinged.blogspot.com site I used to own has miraculously disappeared! Did somebody register that on their own blogspot? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Relocated to USA since Sep 2008. You are listening to.

à la carte - serving random muses in life: April 2011

Sunday, April 24, 2011. One thing I know for sure - you and I, we are all dying. Everyday, we come one step closer. At the end of the day, it is not work nor riches that define a person - but whether someone has lived wisely, served greatly and loved well. Yeye passed on peacefully at the age of 92 this morning. I will always remember this Easter Sunday - a day of life's triumph over death. He will be missed. Friday, April 22, 2011. Have you ever experienced God? Galatians 5:22-23 [ But the. After plenty...

à la carte - serving random muses in life: May 2010
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 30, 2010. We are all in it together. Brain fried from studying. Called home and it was therapeutic listening to my dad's "domestic woes"! Lol Such funny expressions he used, really cracked me up man. He says everyone is 炒塌 now and there's no more “(trip to)台湾,"头湾"就有! I choked so hard with laughter. He asked me to go back fast to 灭火, "我们顶不了,你快点回来顶激光枪"! And drew pictures of "猪"(朱) that are practising "气" 功 to help tickle mom's funny bones. LOL! Thursday, May 27, 2010. Sunday, May 23, 2010.

à la carte - serving random muses in life: Getting wiser - Day 2
http://a1a-cart3z.blogspot.com/2010/11/getting-wiser-day-2.html
Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Getting wiser - Day 2. Day 2 saw a spew of blood-tinted saliva on my pillowcase. Yucks. The effect of anaesthesia, a swollen cheek and leaking saliva. But on the brighter side of things, I actually survived Day 2 without painkillers! It has to be a combination of one or more of these factors: (1) a wonderful God, (2) a wonderful highly skilled surgeon, (3) wonderfully high platelet count, (4) wonderfully high threshold of pain. 1) Clear relationship between effort and reward.
