http://nederlass.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_nederlass_archive.html
Friday, August 12, 2005. No, I'm not dead yet. ;). Three weeks into my American experience, and only now do I get write about it. Yes yes, blame it on the weather, on my thesis or on having fun with my guy and our newly arrived load of baby birds. The little critters arrived three days after I got here, and we have been very busy 'raising' them. We built a wooden coop with chicken wire (tools baby! And they grow like mad too. Here's some goose love for you:. A very cool baseball game initiative by some k...

the knitting nederlass: March 2005
http://nederlass.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_nederlass_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2005. Tonight I went to see my new room. There’s nothing wrong with the room I'm in now, in fact it’s near perfect, but unfortunately I’m just sub-letting it. Illegally. So when my friend E. called, telling me that there was going to be a free room at her place from May 1st, and asking me if I wanted to move in, I immediately said yes. The funny thing is that I'm moving exactly 1 year after I moved into my current room; the first weekend of May. In the shared living room. But this yea...

the knitting nederlass: I'm sorry, Prunila
http://nederlass.blogspot.com/2008/03/im-sorry-prunila.html
Wednesday, March 05, 2008. I'm sorry, Prunila. The crowd has spoken; I was just not feelin' it with the Pentathlon sock as it was, so went straight to the LYS this morning, got new yarn, and RIPPED her:. It's solid and hopefully just light enough to really make the sttches stand out. I love the twist too! Bit if a bummer because I did spend days on this puppy, but I'll just view it as a practice sock. I got too many damn things on the needles anyway, and the yarn ain't going anywhere. Good girl.:-) I...

http://nederlass.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_nederlass_archive.html
Tuesday, November 29, 2005. A special post for you to show you I'm still here. I haven't forgotten about all you friendly people! I'm just so busy, I feel like my work is running my life right now. I just need time to get used to the rediculous work schedules. Starting at 6.45 one day, and at 14.45 the next, really kills. Routine I may have had, and I'm not a routine person. ;). I'm trying to get together with some of my pals from the Skinny Blog, and it would be great to hang out with you guys! Great im...

(Click the pic to see the back.). Posted by Nederlass at 3:21 PM. 5 stitch(es) knit. Add yours. Monday, April 25, 2005. My first sock in its natural habitat: on a shrub. Funny how many knitters like to model their socks on random flora; see here. I mean of course, on my very own tootsie. I'd heard some horror stories about that. Drawstrings...

Sunday, December 04, 2005. Lotsa Secret Pal Lovin'! Oh my, not one but TWO packages from the other side of the world! Man, this makes up for coming home from work through the crappy cold weather we've been having here lately. The first loot was from the amazing Deb the Yarner:. Yummy organic soaps from Texas and The Alchemic Dragon. A wicked LOTR 2006 Calandar, great for writing down work days and countdowns to seeing The Dude. Anything with purple is brilliant by me. Like I needed a new hobby. ;). That ...

Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Coming to a America! Ok, so technically I already AM in America, but today was special: We had my immigration interview with the USCIS (the old INS) and were APPROVED! After submitting tons of forms and proof of joint finances, basically after proving that our great marriage is actually real -duh- I will now be getting my Green Card in, say, less than a month. Oh, and it isn't green. Posted by Nederlass at 2:49 AM. Oh, the road it takes to get a green card. Tuesday, November 1...

We're having dinner at this nice Chinese place. I'll bring along the digicam to show you guys what we got up to. Ps I secretly cast on a Crusoe sock from Knitty. So what have we learned from this experience? 1 We don't like Summer Tweed. 2 We don't like the way Rowan writes down instructions. 3 We don't like knitting with neutrals. We also h...
