The Congdons: Decorating The Tree
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/decorating-tree.html
Sunday, June 8, 2014. Shortly after returning from Thanksgiving in Idaho, we got our tree out and decorated it. The girls were so excited to decorate the tree-it's one of their favorite things to do at Christmas time. It was even more exciting and fun this year as Genesis was old enough to participate for the first time. Rob held Genni as she put things on the tree. Most of the time he had to help her put things on there, but she had a blast doing it. My sweet Georgia.. Besides, it looks beautiful!

The Congdons: Thanksgiving
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/thanksgiving.html
Sunday, June 8, 2014. Now that my parents live in Idaho, we decided to split holidays between families since we can't see them both in one vacation any more. We knew we wouldn't be able to go see my parents for Christmas like we had planned, so we went for Thanksgiving instead. Genni napping with Papa. It brought a smile to all our faces when we were all feeling down about leaving family. I am so grateful for the time we get to spend with family as it doesn't happen very often, and I am very grateful tha...

The Congdons: Christmas Morning
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/christmas-morning.html
Thursday, June 19, 2014. Before I get into our Christmas morning, I wanted to share this cute little thing that Gwen did early in December. We have this little felt nativity hanger with foam characters that velcro onto the felt manger. It used to be our advent countdown, but this year we bought an amazing LDS ornament countdown (25daysofchrist.com), so we set the felt one up for the kids to just play with. Once we said go, it was a mad dash into our living room to see all the goodies! Genesis got a ride ...

The Congdons: Carving Pumpkins
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/carving-pumpkins.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. We waited until the day before Halloween to carve our pumpkins last year. We have had a few problems in our neighborhood with pumpkins getting smashed before Halloween the past two years, so not only did we wait, but we stored them inside that night. The kids were super excited to carve their pumpkins. They ate really quickly that night, we cleaned up fast, and moved all the chairs and the table out of the kitchen so we could all carve pumpkins together on the kitchen floor.

The Congdons: Christmas Eve
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/christmas-eve.html
Thursday, June 19, 2014. Both families made things to contribute to dinner that night, and we had quite the feast. The kids ate pretty quickly because they knew that after dinner, all the fun would begin. The first thing we did after dinner was make Christmas sugar cookies for Santa. It's something we've done every year and the girls love it. We have a ton of Christmas cookie cutters, and the kids each picked out one or two to use while we rolled out the dough. And after donning their pjs, our exhausted ...

The Congdons: Happy Halloween!!
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/happy-halloween.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. I think my kids (and maybe every child) looks forward to Halloween just as much as Christmas! I used to do a lot of fun things with the kids on the holidays, and I've slacked a lot on that over the years, but I thought it would be fun to at least do a Halloween themed lunch with them this year. So I looked on Pintrest for ideas (thank goodness for Pintrest! They agreed; we bought costumes and I altered them. Georgia decided to be Draculara from the Monster High dolls. The onl...

The Congdons: Genni's First Haircut
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/gennis-first-haircut.html
Monday, June 9, 2014. I noticed around the time Genesis turned one that the back of her hair was starting to look a bit like a mullet. It was a lot longer than the rest of her hair, and it was starting to look a bit funny. I have always taken the girls to a salon to get their first haircut, but after having a bad experience with Georgia's first haircut, and the back of Genni's head being the only place her hair really needed to be cut, I decided to do it myself. I saved every little curl I cut off. Emily...

The Congdons: School Performance
http://rasacong.blogspot.com/2014/06/school-performance.html
Monday, June 2, 2014. Now that school's out for the summer, I'll be updating more frequently and trying really hard to catch up to what's going on currently. Early in the beginning of the school year, the girls got to participate in a school performance called Music Around The World. They learned a ton of songs, and some kids got to play instruments or were selected to sing a special part in one of the many songs that were sung that night. Each of the girls got to participate in a special way. They both ...
