Prudhoe Gardeners' Association. There are four allotment sites managed by Prudhoe Allotment Association. Of the 100 plots managed, there are 30 at our Edgewell site, 44 at our Castle Dene site, 19 at our Redwell site and 7 at our Stoney Flatts site. Allotment holders must keep their plots under cultivation. Under cultivation is a wide term that allows for the growing of fruit, vegetables and flowers but not trees. We are open to people who have gardens of their own but wish to become members of the Association. To be a member you pay an annual fee (at the time of writing this is 2.50) which enables you to make purchases from the stock within the Gardeners Association Hut. Prudhoe Gardeners' Association. For well over 50 years, the Prudhoe Gardeners’ Association show has been ranked highly in Tynedale for leading flower and vegetable growers. It is the only show in the Tyne Valley that presents medals on behalf of the National Societies to dahlia, rose, chrysanthemum and vegetable growers.
