Project Grown at Home

Project Grown at Home. The Beginning – Courtyard. October 26, 2015. Last night I sat down and for the first time ever harvested my lavender which will be dried and used for tea. Lavender tea is perfect for a good night sleep. This is a bit of a late harvest compared to what is a recommended time. If my chamomile does well I will have the perfect sleep tea blend. Tomato’s are in. October 26, 2015. Having all my tomato’s from grown seed this year I absolutely cannot wait to see the results. August 31, 2015.

Project Grown at Home. The Beginning – Courtyard. Welcome to my blog, where I will continually share my journey of growing my own food. It was something I was keen to do for for quite some time, to build a veggie patch and take it from there. I proposed the idea to my father in law and he was happy to help me get a start. It wasn’t long before I took over and began to fulfil my vision. Around an hour I think. Do check back, I will do my best to update as often as I can. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You ar...

Project Grown at Home. The Beginning – Courtyard. Tomato’s are in. October 26, 2015. Having all my tomato’s from grown seed this year I absolutely cannot wait to see the results. The courtyard bed is housing 4 tomato’s along with Marigolds also sown from seed. Left of the bed are also my lemon cucumbers I am hoping will do well too. In the backyard I have 2 of the 4 beds completed, one of them now has 5 tomato’s. I should have a frame build in the near future which will be holding up the netting.

Radish Harvest | Project Grown at Home

Project Grown at Home. The Beginning – Courtyard. August 11, 2015. August 11, 2015. Its been really cold and I have not spent much time out the back despite my plans, but a week ago I stepped out and was rather excited seeing my Radishes were finally ready. Once cleaned up and finally cut they were mixed in with cottage cheese, onion, garlic, chives and a bit of salt and pepper to taste. Instantly I could taste what my mum used to make me when I was in Poland as a child. Over Wintering Chili Plants.

Backyard Transformation Project | Project Grown at Home

https://projectgrownathome.wordpress.com/backyard-transformation-project

Project Grown at Home. The Beginning – Courtyard. Over the coming months I will be adding my progress of the backyard which I will be transforming, from what you see in the below photo to a plan I am yet to draw. It is only in the spare time I have so it is likely to drag out, but the idea is to aim for this coming spring. Should fit at least 5 wicking beds, hopefully more. Thats it for now, a vision 🙂. With spring here and a bit of a later start that I would like I have finally begun. I also have ideal...

Adventures in almost food self-sufficiency in suburban Melbourne. The Raised Bed Veg Patch. Garden Share Collective: May. 04 May, 2015. Welcome to this month's edition of the Garden Share Collective. Thanks as always to Lizzie for creating the GSC. We are well and truly sliding into winter here in Melbourne town with the beginnings of cold mornings, but also many a fine bright and sunny day to keep us from the full winter experience. Just yet. I've planted out my garlic, which is starting to sprout.

Coping with and trying to solve recurrent miscarriage. Tests, diagnoses and Treatment. Diet and Supplement Plan. March 31, 2015. One month has passed and I can’t believe I haven’t updated this blog with my most important post and reason for starting this blog in the first place! I had a water birth in the end which was amazing. He was born without my waters breaking which was really rare and lucky i’m told! The midwife had to pop the sac when he came out! I better go now and feed this little monkey :).
