Prairie Pandemonium: A Sunny Start to the Year
http://prairiepandemonium.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-sunny-start-to-year.html
Creating chaos in the heartland. Monday, February 2, 2015. A Sunny Start to the Year. The beginning of 2015 found me traveling out to Tucson, Arizona for work. We have a large test facility out in the desert were we can run our biggest machines. Part of the reason the facility is there is because it hardly ever rains and so we can run all year round. It rained while I was there. It was snowing back home though, so I don't dare complain too loudly. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). From This Front Porch.

Creating chaos in the heartland. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. It probably would be more accurate to call it a Tree Deck. Anyway, lots of work to do yet, but I did get the ladder finished this week. Prairie Pandemonium: Princess Creative
http://prairiepandemonium.blogspot.com/2015/06/princess-creative.html
Creating chaos in the heartland. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Anya has gotten quite proficient at putting together her Lego sets, and lately has been moving beyond just building from instructions to creating her own. One of her last creations was a Lego wagon for her Lego princesses. She added everything a princess might need - wheels, seats, a door, and a fountain! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Prairie Pandemonium: April 2015
http://prairiepandemonium.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Creating chaos in the heartland. Sunday, April 19, 2015. Ready, Set, Spring! The appearance of spring always brings with it an abundance of frantic activity. This year is no exception. Our crab apple tree seemed to explode overnight into a brilliant hue of pink, adding nicely to the spring palette. Last week we joined some of our friends for the Allerton Park Trail Run. A couple of the guys ran the half-marathon (not me! Anya made a sign and cheered hard. It was a beautiful day. Spring also means track a...
Prairie Pandemonium: Overload
http://prairiepandemonium.blogspot.com/2015/07/overload.html
Creating chaos in the heartland. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. This summer's road trip generated 1,484 pictures. Approximately. I don't think I'll be able to post them all here. A few highlight pictures:. The Crew at Craters of the Moon. A quick break before heading down the trail to Crater Lake from the rim. The scale of the redwood tree is hard to capture. Parking the van next to one helps. Kind of. A happy pair, ready to head home. 02 August, 2015 22:54. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pass on the LEFT!

Happy Hoots: November
http://happyhoots.blogspot.com/2014/12/november.html
You can never have too much HAPPY! Thursday, December 4, 2014. This year from the end of October throughout November, we have been reminiscing quite a bit about our times from the previous year. It was crazy, nerve wracking, joyous, and as far from a "normal" time that we could get. Oh my goodness, all those feelings, emotions, and stresses STILL come rushing back. Believe it or not, we have no record of anything going on other than our house being built at the end of October last year. Still says he can...
Happy Hoots: May 2013
http://happyhoots.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
You can never have too much HAPPY! Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Mother's Day was pretty fun to look forward to this year. Actually, any time (birthdays, etc) where Sam has to try to keep a secret of what he did/got for someone is really fun! He came home with several things he made at school a few days before the actual day and couldn't hold them back. he HAD to give them to me! He and his friends cut out hearts and signed each other's. The final thing they made at school was this:. We spent the rest of the da...

Oh Boy-Oh Boy-Oh Boy! Monday, July 16, 2012. 36 Weeks and Counting. Here it is, we have reached the often dreamed of and never thought it would get here 36th week of gestation. Since we have spent the previous 15 weeks on bed rest, we. Also, the use of vegetables is still not top on my priority list so we are extremely grateful for our wonderful friends who took pity on us and brought us prepared food that involved more than hot dogs and hamburgers. A Little Bit of Everything: December 2013
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Saturday, December 21, 2013. Last weekend, I spent an evening with Ellie and her parents. To my great delight, when I arrived, I discovered that she has learned to say my name! Turns out, when you hear "Karpen, hug! That's about what it sounds like - the 'm' isn't quite there yet), you'll do just about anything for the rest of the evening. Including laying on the floor and being a jungle gym. Okay, I would've done that anyway, but it was still too cute. Aww Night night, Ellie!
Happy Hoots: December 2012
http://happyhoots.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
You can never have too much HAPPY! Wednesday, December 5, 2012. I have some time to breathe right now so I thought I would post an update on our move. Our house is SOLD. And the lady buying the house LOVES it. Which is good because I really don't want it going to someone who doesn't love it as much as we do. But today she had her 3rd visit and I'm starting to get a little tired of cleaning it for her! Lots of memories made here. And we are all working on being Happy Hoots about this move! A Little Bit of Everything: Out with the Old, In with the New
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2015/08/out-with-old-in-with-new.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Monday, August 10, 2015. Out with the Old, In with the New. No, we've (finally) moved on from New Year's posts. This is a tale of 2 cars. No, scratch that. it's a tale of 3 cars. Who's going to turn down that offer? Good-bye, Stella. It's been nice, but this is what happens when you smell bad. Let that be a lesson to you. But know what's less awesome? My rental car was a Chevy Spark, and it felt like driving a toy. I kept waiting for a policeman to pull me over and tell me...

A Little Bit of Everything. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. You might ask. No, I leave that to the nuttier members of my family. I'm just very behind in my blogging. In August, I joined a few of my friends for what is becoming a traditional trek to Door County, WI for tent-dwelling, bike riding, beach lazing, etc. Also lots of food and lots of laughs. Here are a few photos of the trip. View from the trail. Mex tries her hand at paddle boarding. The crew on Sunday. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
A Little Bit of Everything: Happy New Year...
http://karmenlia.blogspot.com/2015/08/happy-new-year.html
A Little Bit of Everything. Monday, August 10, 2015. Even if it is 8 months late. New Year's Eve was on a Wednesday night, so a few people stayed after meeting for a few games. Mom and Sam enjoy a friendly game. Kamela was never quite sure of the rules for the game she played with Adrian. Seemed like they were fairly fluid. Levi and Elinor get acquainted. Nice to meet you! Getting a little sleepy. Are we going to make it until midnight? Just barely. Hey Mom, I'm ready to go home now. The Downside of Snow.

Prairie Pandemonium
Born in the Heartland, moved to the Wild West. Chaos in the cactus. Saturday, December 30, 2017. 2017 was a big year for the Pandemonium Family. After 19 years in Illinois, we said goodbye to the Heartland and hello to the Sonoran desert of southern Arizona, following my job to Tucson. January was consumed by trying find a suitable house to move our crew into, poring over a seemingly endless list of homes for sale. Nothing seemed to fit the bill. We finally got some pictures of form work and plumbing in ...
