I'm still looking for a Maltese Cross from Queen Camel, Williton, Milverton, Weston-super-Mare, Henstridge and Milborne Port - these being towns that were issued with 1844-type numeric obliterators so might have had Maltese Crosses. Wednesday, 25 February 2015. Taunton Barred Numeral Cancels - "1844" part 2. Here are my remaining examples of the original Taunton "1844" cancel. This first example is from December 1844 and shows that the bottom bar has disappeared. Mourning paper used to order "a packet of materials to be made up". Sunday, 2 August 2015. Post Office Internal Posters (1). At the recent sale of duplicate GPO posters. By the British Postal Museum and Archive I was successful in bidding for one of the less glamorous lots, a set of 35 approximately A4 size internal posters, mainly black and white, labelled "JPC" and "IRP (H)" with a number. The Royal Mail Archive holds a nearly-full set (number 010 is missing) of 66, from which my 35 duplicates in the lot come from, mainly being the earlier ones. British Goods are Best.

Sunday, 28 September 2014. Dunster - Maltese Cross? Here is another entire that strongly indicates that Dunster did have its own Maltese Cross. The entire from October 1841 went from Dunster (as evidenced by the blurred "DUNSTER / 183" handstamp) to Stogumber which is 9½ miles from Dunster. Stogumber is en-route to Taunton from Dunster, with Taunton another 13½ miles further on. The other strong indicator that it did not go via Taunton is the absence of any Taunton transit mark. Sunday, 30 August 2015. A few Climax Rubber cancels from the end of the alphabet. A few Climax Rubber cancels, from the later part of the alphabet . First from South Cadbury from May 1913. South Cadbury only has one rubber cancel in the Proof books, from June 1910, and this is a (blurred) example of it. And lastly here are two UDC handstamps from Williton, one in red and one in black. Tiistai 14. kesäkuuta 2011. Näin se kevät vaihtui sitten kesään ja tämänkin blogin loppu on tullut. Mitäs tää kevät on sitten mulle tarjonnut ja ehkä jopa opettanut? On mulla ainakin hauskaa ollut tänä keväänä, sitä ei käy kiistäminen! Matkustelu muuten Euroopassa jäi olemattomaksi, vaikka aluksi suunnitelmissa oli käydä vaikka missä. Jotenkin aika on vaan mennyt turhan nopiaan eikä sitä ylimääräistä rahaakaan jäänyt reissaamiseen. Ainoastaan Tsekin kierros toteutui kun kävin Č. Krumlovissa ja Vele ší.
