He now lives in Cornwall with his wife Helen, now that most of their four children have grown up - although the family used to live in Southampton, where Spiral of Prospero is set. Nigel is a self-confessed 'aviation nut' who helps as a volunteer for the Air Training Corps. He loves writing but would rather be outdoors especially doing water sports.
