Phyllis Renée: through the seasons

http://phyllisrenee.blogspot.com/2010/03/through-seasons.html

Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Snow flakes fall, fluttering down like a million butterflies, landing soft as kisses on my eyes, my cheek, my lips. Gentle breezes wrap around me as warm loving arms to quiet my fears. Bright sunlight shines down on me as glowing hot embers igniting my soul. Autumn leaves of orange, yellow, and red fall and collect at my feet in a colorful mound of beautiful memories. Posted by Phyllis Renée. Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Phyllis Renée: it's all about the -ing

http://phyllisrenee.blogspot.com/2010/03/its-all-about-ing.html

Monday, March 29, 2010. It's all about the -ing. Also, probably the most obvious, is writing. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't get the crazy stuff out of my head. Someone told me recently they liked my writing because it's honest. I'm not sure what that means exactly. I mean, can someone write dishonestly? I just write down what's in my head. I write the way I talk. It's kind of like talking to someone who isn't there. (That's not at all crazy, huh? Posted by Phyllis Renée. Monday, March 29, 2010.

Phyllis Renée: question

http://phyllisrenee.blogspot.com/2010/03/question.html

Monday, March 22, 2010. What was the purpose of the Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil? Why did God place it in the Garden of Eden if He didn't want Adam and Eve to eat the fruit? Posted by Phyllis Renée. Monday, March 22, 2010. If youve ever read CS Lewis Perelandra. And if you havent, you should), he makes it out as a kind of Test of Obedience (to put in the crudest possible terms) - Ive given you a whole wide world for your enjoyment; just dont do this one thing. Running In the Yard: The Summer of Growing-Up II; or, Paint It Black

http://runningintheyard.blogspot.com/2009/08/summer-of-growing-up-ii-or-paint-it.html

Running In the Yard. La-la, how the life goes on. . . Friday, August 21, 2009. The Summer of Growing-Up II; or, Paint It Black. In my previous post. Growing up Up North, I really did have a fairly 'sheltered' upbringing. Life was pleasant, and for me at least, pretty easy, adoptions. The Cross and the Switchblade. Fortunately (or at least, so it seemed to me at the time), I'd recently read. The Cross and the Switchblade. And so, inspired by David Wilkerson's. As I said, that summer was just crammed full ...

Running In the Yard: Blast From the Obits

http://runningintheyard.blogspot.com/2009/12/blast-from-obits.html

Running In the Yard. La-la, how the life goes on. . . Monday, December 7, 2009. Blast From the Obits. Whenever I see someone with whom I went to school in the obits, it always piques my curiosity a bit - what kind of life did they have? Did they die of a sudden, catastrophic illness or accident? Or did too much hard living catch up with them (I've known of a few of those, too)? What about their families - their spouses and children? Sometimes, I remember seeing them at a class reunion; sometimes not.

In the three-and-a-half years I have (intermittently) been posting to this blog, I have taken many, many opportunities to express my gratitude to and for my beloved wife. Reflections

Friday, March 9, 2012. OK, So several friends do this 5 minute Friday thing. Although I have never participated, I am intrigued by today's topic, so here I go. Empty . As others have noted, empty can be both good and bad. However, for me, I think it is my desire. You see, I desire to be empty of me. Because only when I am empty of me. . . can I be filled by Him. Things like. . . Love for others (who are, let's say . . . . challenging),. Commitment to study His Word (with consistency. So my prayer is:.
